This is probably a stupid one but, would a 98 accord motor bolt right up into a 95 accord lx coupe with no modifications? Can I use all my accessaries from the 95 motor? Will the tranny work fine as well? Just want to make sure that it is possible. Thanks a lot for your input.

im guessing the 98 is a 4 banger.

well your car is obd1 and the 98 is obd2. the motor in your car is 2.2 the motor in the 98 is 2.3. yes everything is compatable, except the ecu. you will need to get a jumper harness for the obd2 ecu to make it work....then you will need to ad vtec,as well as knock.

it would be much easier to find a 94-95 motor...that way it is straight in and out

I would rather swap an OBD1 H22 than go through all the trouble converting your car to OBD2 just to use an Accord engine..

Not if he is planning to switch to an OBD2 engine.. it will cost much more than just the price of the long block to make it work, hence my original post. I agree that an OBD1 Accord engine would be the most cost effective swap, but comparing an OBD2 conversion/swap vs the OBD1 H22 he would be much better off and save money & a lot of headaches and problems with the H22.
