Looking to get a high flow cat back exhaust for a 95 del sol at a reasonable price.
Don't want something which is going to be too loud though, any suggestions on something which will give it a nice "purr" but not be a total fart blaster?

apexi world sport, or perhaps a twin loop muffler(never heard one in person thou). oval exhaust seem to be less noisy generally, plus they look more like stock so cops dont think twice

Build your own from there is what I would suggest.. magnaflow does have pretty good sounding mufflers too. Try to fit a straight through resonator in there somewhere too and it will quiet it down more.
 
I have a Apexi World Sport 2 exaust system on my car... sounds and looks awesome!!! They may be a bit pricey though... i got everything in the picture below at a junk yard for 40 bucks and they even threw in a ceramic header... poor guy had no idea what it was worth but thats not my problem... lol...

+1 for Kteller. I got my exhaust from there and I love it.
 
I had a magnaflow on my old civic a 01 ex and it sounded great. If you leave resonator on it will be quieter, I had mine off because I liked the deeper tone and I liked it a little louder. Its all personal preference, what YOU like. I also got a magnaflow muffler for christmas this year for my 95 ex. I didn't want the high pitched weed whacker tinny sounding exhaust, so that’s why I chose magnaflow. Just go around to the different manufacture's website most of them have sound clips you can listen to that will aid in your selection.

What size is that piping?
 
That'd be my guess it looks just like mine. Cept I think mine's old muffler shop piping it's all rusted and everything I'd get a newer exhaust but money's tight.
 
Greddy SP2 if you want quiet. my friend has one on his ITR eg hatch and it is making ME want to get one over my catback which is loud (still has catalytic converter).
 
i've been doing alot of research for my future purchase and the Greddy sp2 and the apexi ws2 are very similar in construction and exhaust note, except that the ws2 has a bit more rasp than the sp2.
for years i've been wanting an rsr exmag exhaust, but unfortunately they are not legal in California, then again, what isn't legal in California!
but with all the information that I've received, I'm leaning towards the sp2 because of fitments and the exhaust note is a little louder than stock but still quieter than the ws2.

either one, i think they both rock, but this is my opinion. hope this helps

Magnaflow or vibrant. For all my cars I get a cheapo ebay catback then get a vibrant or magnaflow muffler and have it welded on. They have inlets outlets from 2-3". If it's a car that I'm afraid cops will target- I go with the stealth black exhausts.
