ok i have a ls motor with head and i vtech b18c head. i really need to know the different between the valve train before i ask the local machine shop to put the vlave train on the ls head. i don't want them to have to port anything or have to make huge changes.

If you don't want it to be "ported" that it's going to be a normal spec like a normal cyclender head.If you do get it "Ported" it would increase horse power.

Warning if you go to put the cyclender togeather let me know what you are using.

ya i know that i just want to make sure that the valves are the same size in a vtech head as an ls head. so i can swap them into my ls.

Quick question..why do you want to swap the GSR valve train into your LS head? If you have a GSR head than why not swap the whole thing? I don't understand what you're trying to do here. If you want to beef up your valve train then I'd suggest using aftermarket made for the LS rather than trying to transplant the GSR valve train into it.

you cant transplant vtec parts into the ls head, nothing is the same in the head.

that doesnt even make sense, the ls head is garbage.

ya that is an option but for right now moneys tight and i just need to replace the ls valves. does anyone know a site where i can buy them?

If you're going to pay a shop to do this rather than do it yourself you're gonna be spending money anyway. I'd just go ahead and have them put the whole GSR head onto your LS block.

It just doesn't make sense to try and put the GSR valve train into your LS head as a simple replacement. It most likely won't fit exactly, plus you're scavenging a perfectly good GSR head that could be used for something else.

I would just buy the proper LS valve train parts or do the LS/VTEC swap.

As for where to find parts, I'd say eBay if you're comfortable buying stuff from there. Otherwise, try oemacuraparts.org or acuraautomotiveparts.com.

people practically throw those heads away. i sold my 99 ls head for 100 bucks and the thing was complete and perfect minus a distributor. if money is tight save for a little longer and do the lsvtec swap. the absolute cheapest way to do the lsvtec is golden eagle kit which includes head gasket, oil sandwhich adapter, dowel pins= 200ish. head studs arp 120, new vtec water pump and oil pump 200ish, vtec t-belt 55. grand total without labor since you have a gsr head is 575. thats not too bad really for the gains you will have.
