I want to start a "Race across America" contest. In this contest, members will have to pay an entry fee to enter the race, and the top 5 racers to reach the other side of the country will get high payouts. To monitor the racers, a vehicle tracking gps device will be installed on each vehicle. A indemnification agreement will have to be signed when you enter to state that if you break any traffic laws or get into any accidents, it is your own fault for what happens. I want to build a site that will display what users have signed up. This will include a picture of the user and his/her car, and the specs of their vehicle. During the race, a up to the minute map will show placement of all racers. The only rules will be that you must be driving something with 4 wheels, and you have to be on the ground at all times!

You can take any roads you want, so rally drivers might be well off.

Of course, the company will list the race as strategic as trying to avoid traffic jams and such, not trying to speed. Whatever the racers truly do is out of my control. Also, a speeding ticket can cost lots of time!!!

I was thinking of a 1000 entry fee, and payouts as follows:

20000 for 1st
10000 for 2nd
50000 for 3rd
30000 for 4th
20000 for 5th

There will be 50 racers.

What do you think, this a good idea?

i want to know where you're planning to come up with the other 100,000 from.

50 cars x 1000 fee = 50,000.

and why does 3rd place make the most

This is the most idiotic post on this forum right now.

I kinda miss talking about bullshit sex stories. At least they weren't a complete insult to my intelligence.

This cat is just stupid is as stupid does. Go away, troll.
