Whats Up Everyone? I Jus Bought A 1997 Honda Accord Ex F22b1 4door. I Jus Want U Guys Input On My Plans For This Car Its Gonna Be My D.d. But I Want It To Have A Lil Pull To It But Anyway These Are My Plans. Intake, headers, stock Exhaust,rc Injectors I Think They Are 255 Sumthin Like That, fuel Rail, fuel Pressure Regulator W/gauge,cam Gear, msd Ignition, lightweight Pulleys, possibly Im,flywheel, stage 1 Clutch And Get It Tuned Thats It. Anyones Input Is Helpful So Feel Free To Let Me No What U Think.thanks For Ur Time.

A lot of those parts will not do you any good on a mostly stock engine. You don't need injectors, fuel rail, FPR, or an MSD ignition system for just basic bolt ons. I would save my money there and upgrade more important stuff first.

Is there any reason why you're leaving your exhaust stock? It's going to be a big bottleneck in your exhaust flow with an upgraded intake and header.

+1 on all of that...

If you're not planning on forced induction or building the motor, then the stock fuel system and ignition will be just fine. You can drop a few hundred bucks on all that stuff if you want, but I doubt you'll notice anything in terms of power gains. And honestly, I wouldn't even bother with the header if you're just going to leave your stock pea shooter exhaust in place. If I were you I'd skip the fuel and ignition upgrades and get an exhaust instead. Go with something like the Apex'i World Sport if you're concerned about it being too loud.

And why did you post this in the "Auto Multi Media" section? This forum is for posting pictures of your car or other cars, it's not for asking tech questions...

couldn't agree more. Unless you're getting into super n/a builds or boost, honda pretty much hooked you up with all the stuff that you need for your motor, and nothing more, pretty much because it's a waste. I'd say get an exhaust, and then maybe an aftermarket intake. But make sure exhaust is first, because if you think about it, intakes do help air flow, but how much do they help when your motor is trying to squeeze it all through that same, tiny piping? none.

OK, let me get my .02 cents in. I also have a f22b1. Mine is built and boosted. You have 145chp and 140cft and just throwing an intake and headers isn't going to get you but maybe 5-10 more whp. I have went the all motor route on the f22b1 and wasted my money. The motor just doesn't have it in it to make big power unless its boosted. And still the head breathes like a 80 year old smoker.

I cant express it enough that you can waste enough money buying your i/h/e w/ a tune and see no more than 20-25 hp increase. anyone with a stock H22 will smoke you. With that motor I would save up and just boost it. I know a few people with all stock internals boosted @ 12-14psi and making great torque numbers.

I am boosted and all I have is 550 injectors and no more. No rail, reg, or pump and my setup has seen 14psi w/ t3t4 (BABY TURBO) and I see no point in upgrading the fuel unless you are going to be running methanol or really high octane, but again that's falling back on putting thousands in the motor to be setup for high HP. Your adjustable cam gear is worthless without a cam in the b1 head.

Also another thing to keep in mind, if you choose to build the f22b1 and boost it. Think of head swaps before buying your turbo setup. I am getting ready to swap the h22a1 head on my f22b block. But now I have to buy a new turbo manifold, which I am going to make so really just more time. The dowpipe, intercooler piping, dump tube(which might be atmospheric) all have to be redone.
H23, f22b dohc, f22a1 are all possibilities to swap on the block. If you boost and want to stay sohc, f22a1 head breathes like a champ and can ported big time, to support high Hp numbers.

thanks for everyones input. since its my D.D. ima jus put the i/h/e and call it a day. im not really tryin to make alot of power out of it. im lookin for and civic or integra and throw a gsr, b16, in it then thats where i wanna spend all my money. i gotta have 2 cars 1 for my everyday use ,and 2nd 1 to beat on it. but as far as the accord goes i/h/e wit sum rims, coilovers, and etc... i want to be pretty
