Hey, i just got my EG and it came with an engine swap. what i know is that im atleast running a ZC block and a single cam vtec head. but i really dont know what i have. i looked around and i think i have a d16z6 but i just dont really know for sure.

Well the P06 chipped I beleive can run V-tec but a stock P06 can not.. :(, um from the looks of things this is not a V tec block then again I mite be wrong. But im pritty sure its not... just go for a drive, u should be able to tell the diffrance around 5k or 5.5k rpm's

i asked a friend and he told me that the cluster was wrong becase that motor is a cx motor and that it redlines at 7k and that i should get a p28, the engine harness and a vtec presure switch. so what do you think. be it that the block is non-vtec is the head vtec? and will vtec run if i do get the things ineed?
 
From my expreice which is not alot... You sound like your trying to make mini me right now. Thats a non V Tec block, with a V Tec head ect. I do beleive that you have the D15 Block. And from what I have read, u can take the z6 head of a D16 and make a Mini Me block, and yes u would need the V tec harness, a P28 ecu and a few other things I can't think of off the top of my head!

Thanx this helped alot. i really thought i had a d16 but you think its a d15. so the ZC Block is a D15?
 
Hey, u sure ya have a ZC block? If so im not fimilar with that at all.. I would strongly post this in engine building section... to get some basic knowlage... sry!
