hey fellas...im new around here and ive searched and searched but ihavent seen anything really relevant to what im tryng to do...eitherway...last week i decided to go to the junkyard to see if there was anything new...to my suprice i found 7 civics...which is very rare to see around here...(spain madrid)...anyway as i was pulling in i see that right behind me there was a tow truck pulling in..and what was it bringing in...a 99 vti sedan...i figure they take it out back and test it out before they put it out on the junk yard...and ofcourse i was right...i could hear the rpms going up and the exaust going crazy...the engine sounded good...and i couldnt really hear any gears grinding...either way...i left and then came back the following week to find myself with a completely stripped car...i was pissed...i asked the guy in charge of the engines if he had the engine pulled out...he said he did...but that some guy was gonna come and pick it up.. i decided that i had to buy that engine before some idiot bought it ...so i did...shame that i couldnt get the tranny...someone beat me to it...it was the s80 with lsd...

so now i have a b18c4....and a 94 si.... what next???? hahahhah
ive read the post on b series transmission and im still not really sure on which one to pick.... i want an allmotor vehicle...and by that i mean boltons and ecu tuning...
ok so i guess i just need some recomendations ....:D

holur from spain

no replies...gee guys...i need some input on the transmission and other things i need to do before i fit the dag thing in

If you want a good idea of what to go with just think of what you want to do. If you do lots of highway driving (over 100kph) go with an ls tranny because they make your engine very fuel efficient because of their TALL gears. If you want a 1/2 daily driver and 1/2 racer go with a gsr tranny ( which I have and love) and you can still drive on the highway if you want. If you want a fast race machine go with the B16 tranny because of its very short gears but don't plan of doing too much highway driving with it because you will be revving very high with it.

i have no idea what the european equivalent to an ls trany would be..but i guess ill have to go witht the gsr...cause i most deff dont want a full out race car...i do lots of driving...i really didnt know that the b16s tranys would be so close geard  anyway thanks for the imput...ohh and i most definetly be driving over 100km an hour for long periods of time

b16/type r tranny = 4400-4700 rpm at 80mph
GSR tranny= 4000 rpm at 80 mph
LS tranny= 3500rpm at 80mph

thanks dude...thats kinda crazy...to think that b series tranies are so low geared...since my si does 80 at 3200-3500rpm

well ive just foundout that i might have a few problems...since all the wiring is made by ROVER and not HONDA....so ive been talking to people that have done a similar swap...and everyone tells me the same...use the all the d16z6 wiring... do you guys think thats gonna be complicated to do??
