yeah the bumper suport is not on it in the pic but even when i put the bumper to were the saport would hold it theres still gaps just looks like im missing something

The weight of the bumper on the outer supports can be causing it to bow. Since there is no center support cant really say, but as a guess I'd say the bumper is slightly warped.

but theres a spot underneath that. I'd say its missing an intercooler.

It could just be that the bumper's a crappy fit, lots of aftermarket body pieces are like that.

Seriously though...if that were my car, a body kit bumper would be the least of my worries. It looks like it needs rust repairs, paint, suspension, and wheels. What's the point of flossing some funky-looking aftermarket front bumper if your car's an unpainted rust bucket rolling on stock suspension and some fugly old factory rims that don't match the style you're going for at all?

x2.

Was it wrecked before? I know my rex was and the stock bumper had a big gap like that as well.

It's missing a little trim piece that goes below the headlights and above the stock(or in this case aftermarket) bumper. I'll look for a pic to show you.

I could be wrong but that front bumper may be meant for a hatchback as opposed to a crx. that would be why, i don't think I have that filler thing on my car.

i believe you are correct - the CRX doesn't have that extra piece - it is part of the bumper on the CRX

after a second look at the picture, why does it look like the bumper is resting on that piece of wood?

the body kit was cheaper then replacing with stock for now.

Thats probably because its the ugliest bumper ever made.

I agree with who ever said its probably for a hatch. The front ends of 88-91 civics hatches and 4 doors had different bumpers, lights and hood and the crx is completey different.

the bumper is resting on the block of wood and yes i f*cking hate the blitz kit im looking for the mugen kit local but no luck yet ...

so how do i get that front bumper cover to fit could i just buy the filler peace and civic hatch bumper suport ?

if not then im going to have to find a stock some how cheap

I know people have done that, but I haven't taken the time to search the forum for it. It's probably easier to get the stock since a reasonable amount of modification may be involved.

an example of a hatch without the filler in place.

jlicrx's car looks absolutely beautiful.... and it has stock body parts. you should be able to find oem either used or oem replacement for cheaper than a DECENT body kit bumper, and IMO there are few if any front bumpers i would recommend besides stock. for the crx the ideal is the si bumper from 90 and 91 (it has those fake air ducts that can be made real and better looking turn signals) but if it is a hatch i am not sure which is the ideal year oem replacement. look again carefully at jlicrx's red crx. :)

x2 on that sexy red rex. i'm all about people doing what they wanna do. you gotta make the payments, so in the end, do your thing
