I new at this swap thing. my little brother got a 90-93 accord a/t. the car's got like almost 300K+ miles and was interested in swapping the motor out. So here is my question. Would the h22a long block bolt up to the accord automatic transmission or would I have to get the whole h22 swap?

It would prolly be less work and easier to ditch that car and pick up another 90-93 accord with a MT. Then do the swap. These cars are pretty cheap and easy to come by :)

Yes, it will bolt up, but the Accord's tranny is going to suck with an H22. If you want to keep it automatic then I would try and get an H22 auto tranny in addition to the motor.

True.. the TCM isn't going to let the transmission shift at anywhere near the rev limit of the H22 since it wasn't designed for a high revving VTEC engine.

But it will work...

alright I have a question my friend has a 1991 honda accord with the f22b1 motor in that just threw a rod. I have an h23a1 sitting in my garage that I am going to sell to him will that motor be a direct bolt in? how much custom fabrication needs to be done? are the motor mounts the same? Will the f22 tranny work with it?

yes the H23 will bolt up to the F22 trans.... motor mounts will work as well..... more or less its a direct drop in
