I have a b18c5 motor to be put in a 2000 civic si. I've seen on here that the header will be about 1 - 1 and 1/2 inches off the ground and it wont bolt up to the stock si cat. I want to know if the b16 header ( a dc 4-1) from my old motor will fit the itr motor and clear the oil pan ? thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure that the exit point for the exhaust should be the same for both of them. Try the Type r header first or have you tried it and it doesn't fit...?

I'm pretty sure it will work fine.

the b16 header isn't long enough to clear the taller b18 block...so no, it's not gonna work. Any header is gonna sit that low because it needs to clear the block...just run the itr header.

Although there is a difference in block height it does not interfere with the header. I have a b16 swap and am running a da integra ls header. It bolts up fine except that the flange to the cat is turned the wrong way. All headers are universal in b series.

Yours doesn't interfere because your using an LS header on a B16. You won't be able to do it the other way around...

Does this just apply to stock headers? Because all aftermarket headers are the same. I'm running a b16 aftermarket header on my ls/vtec.

They are all the same, if the ls was taller than the b16 then my header would be too low to bolt up to my cat. Trust me, they are all the same.

It's only 3/8th's of an inch longer. It's not like it's gonna be hard to line up to the cat and exhaust. The problem comes when using a B16 Header on any B18 block. The B16 isn't long enough to clear the extra 7mm block height and the oil pan.

all b-series headers will bolt up and most of the time will clear the oil pan. The only big difference is the length of the merge collector. some are not long enough to meet the catalytic, and some are just right but their flanges dont line up evenly for the spring loaded bolts. put the itr on. most likely it will not match the flange so take it to an exhaust shop and have them cut it off and weld it back on to where it will fit. just make sure your cat flange will be the same size as the collector on the itr header.
