thats right a toyota supra twin turbo in a 91crx can i do it is it practical i have the money not the know how

its got 300 hp that engine in the light crx would kick ass what would you do to a stock 91 crx if you had like 6,000 bucks i have no idea where to start a new engine seemed smart mine has 98,000 miles i cant even turbo it without the risk of it blowing

well its gonna have to be a complete custom job.. and if you're asking how to, than.. no, you cant do it

If you have 6 grand thats not even close to being enough...id listen to the guys that replied in your other post and put a B series into it

i can get the engine with 25 thousand miles on it for 2,900 thats cheap as hell the B16a costs like 1,450 but only has 170 hp 6,00 is just a start i plan on putting much more in but i have 6,000 left after buying the car so i want to do some power upgrades i guess ill try the b series whats so good about it anyway i have no clue

what steps does that entail how much/which b series should i get then i told you i have no clue im worse than a woman(no offense to any women out there)as i said i have no clue.could you give me some parts to look for or a place to start i need to learn

Take that 6 grand and put a down payment on a new car. You're probably just going to kill yourself or others anyway.

yo dog im not the 1 with stds you can kill yourself or others ive got a fuckin crx and six grand so ill upgrade my vehicle besides the crx is fuckin great why would i want somethin else

If the CRX is so great then why would you want to hack it up and put a Toyota motor in it? For $6,000 you could have a turbo B-series in your car, and you wouldn't have to hack up the engine bay or try to convert it to rear wheel drive.

And by the way, Krishb's signature is a joke...STD is a Civic trim level...why the hell would anyone actually advertise on the internet that they have a sexually transmitted disease?

If you want the best motor for your crx do a k20 swap. 220 hp, costs about $5,000 for a complete changeover from Specializing in JDM-USDM Engines & Parts...hmotorsonline.com but that will take some custom work. Check out the link I gave you and look around the motor mall see what you want. If I had 6 grand and a 91 crx I'd get the b16a SiR 1 changeover, Chip the ecu for tuning and spend $3,000 on a turbo kit and have that tuned. Trust me, a tuned b16a with a peakboost turbo kit will reach 300 hp. Then spend the rest on brakes and suspension, paint, w/e you want.

+1 on that. Listen, Do you realize the size of the engine bay of the CRX, and the size of even the B16, compared to the size of the full on TT 2JZ? Seriously, it'll be anything but a $6k Job. My brother has an LS/Vtec (still Honda) in his 91 DX hatch (also, still Honda) which totaled to around $10k in itself. (N/A built motor.) Now, I'd say if you had maybe $50k that you could just as easily light on fire and not flinch, then hell, go for it, but if you don't know how then sell your car to a customs shop, GIVE them the $50k, tell them to have fun, and walk away, so that some day you can see their new car in a magazine or something.

Actually, if you have $6k, rebuild your motor, and boost it. Or if you don't like that idea, go B series. B16 or GSR, and boost it. Or LS/V. But a 2JZ in a CRX? Talk about completely hacking off your engine bay and welding in a new custom one, not to mention again, the RWD factor.

dont feel like searching but im pretty sure theres a guy here that put a vette motor into a hatch. maybe you should search that and see just how much work it actually is!

i could but i wont, i want to be nice but i cant.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA

take the six grand, buy a 98 and up itr motor and fully build it then go take turns like honda intended the car to be used for.

but a supra engine in a crx? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHHA

the crx is great but its engine is weak as hell plus how can i put a badass turbo on a engine with 98,000 miles as i said i am new to this and cars and i know he didnt mean he actuallt have stds he was just an asshole. im up for any (smart)ideas but i love my crx and wont change that i want to juice it up but dont know where to start so im just throwin ideas around and ass holes like that piss me off

Alright, well when you start a thread like this, you're not gonna get good responses. Instead, as much as I hate it, you're better off making a "What should I do?" thread. There's no reason you can't boost a car with 98k on it, as long as you give it a good tune up and go on a seal replacement spree. Spark plugs, wires, dizzy cap and rotor, change your oil (imo run synthetic if you don't already) and oil filter, head gasket, spark plug gasket, timing belt, water pump, belt tensioner, stem seals, rings, and I think there's a couple more, so if you think of something I didn't list, then get that replaced too. Get ARP head studs. Also, get a compression test, and a leakdown test. Then start on your valvetrain, with springs/retainers/cam for boost, and then go from there. Just make sure you get a good tune.

OR, You could put a B series in, or a K even, though K is more expensive and more work. Both work well with boost. Even in a B series though, I'd take the time and replace all the gaskets and everything/get ARP head studs, so I guess it's all up to you to how much you want to spend on what, how much down time you want, and how much work you want to do.

its good to get some help ive got six grand thats all whats the best thing to involve my money in the engine or somethind i know nothing thats why i came here for some good sound advice not some ass roasting me cause im a newb help is what i asked for not some shit heads criticism your ideas helped and are greatly appreciated
