I need a new image

I need to purchase a camera so I can include pics in my posts. There is just too much info out there for me to wade through. I'm old skool and have always used a 35mm SLR. I,m looking for a decent unit with good macro capability. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I love my Canon SD1000. I got it in a package deal from a local electronics store but I have seen them at the big box stores for around 200.xx or so. I also just ordered this for my parents.

i have this same camera, i fucking love it.

My wife and I have it. I just bought it for my parents and my little bro has the SD900 model and loves his as well. I have absolutely no regrets buying it because it goes with us everywhere due to the size of it. I actually have access to a rebel XTi and love that as well but I only use it now for sports/action situations.
