will an 88 zc dohc bolt right into an eg 92-95 hatch. i just bought an engine& tranny. now looking for a shell. theres some eg's im looking at but dont know if there will be any moding doing the swap. i plan on using the zc transmission.

if you want to use that engine and transmission, you would be better off finding the ED/EF car to put it in - the engine could be made to work in the EG, but not the transmission - has different mounts and has a cable actuated clutch - the EGs use a transmission with hydraulic actuated clutch

Hasport and several other companies make cable-to-hydro conversions, so it is possible. But yeah, it will be cheaper and easier to just find an 88-91 shell rather than try and put this motor into an EG. You'd be looking at an OBD conversion as well if you want to try and make it work in a 92-95.

well you could always go the getto way and weld the mounts to the frame... lol j/k i really don't recommend that, get a diff shell m8 :)
