i have a 92 honda civic dx hatch, car has been in a front end accident and pulls to the right, now...i'm not sure if it's because of the accident, abnormal tire wear to right side, could this be a camber issue what do i have to do to straighten it out??? what do you guys think about the skunk2 pro camber kit??? and how much can i get a set for the front??? i found them on ebay for $175...don't know how you guys feel about ebay stuff...can the pull to the right be corrected??? what are some issues and what can i do???

yeah i was thinking about alignment, 2 brand new toyo proxies 4 up front so...i hope they wear evenly but an alignment is something i think i definetly need, the other day i hit a pothole pretty hard and now it seems to pull more...maybe it is an alignment issue, if not, what are my other possibiltys???

Is the car lowered? If it's not, then there's really no need at all for a camber kit. Even cars with mild drops can get away without camber kits.

I'd start out with making sure all your tires are aired up and all your lugs are tightened to spec. If the problem persists, then you probably need to take it in for an alignment.

As far as buying eBay stuff, if it's Skunk2 brand then it's probably gonna be fine. If you buy some cheapo no-name stuff for $5 then that's where you're gonna run into problems. Not everything on eBay is garbage, you just have to be sensible about it.

You don't need the camber kit. It will not help. Get under your car and make sure you don't have any bent tie rods or anything. Then get your car aligned. Ta da, problem fixed.

thanks guys i'll check all my air in tires, i know the right rim is slightly bend, which causes a vibration could that be the reason for pull??? one of the lugs on that right wheel is crooked, i'll check all the tie rods out and if the pull is still there i'll get it aligned, do i need a 4 wheel alignment or just the front??? then...i hope the problem is fixed.

If you haven't gotten a 4 wheel alignment in a while, it would be a good idea. Alignments are cheap, $60 should get you a decent one. I have a buddy that aligns cars for a living and he only charges $80 for a full race alignment (far more precise than a normal one).

Considering you have been in an accident I would almost guarantee you bent something in the suspension. There is a chance the tires could also be causing a pull, but all you need to do to check that out is switch the two front tires left to right. If the pull changes direction or goes away the tires are the cause, and if it stays the same most likely your suspension is damaged.

The only way to be sure is to have the alignment checked, and have someone who knows what they're looking at interpret the numbers to determine if the suspension geometry is at fault for your problem.

You'll definitely need a 4 wheel alignment.. doing a 2 wheel alignment on a car that's adjustable front and rear is a waste of money. You should pay special attention to the caster measurement on the two front wheels as one, or both, are likely out of spec. In addition make sure they measure the SAI/IA angles. If you tell them your car was in an accident and may have bent parts they should check those angles anyhow as they freqently show bent suspension components.

Oh, I didn't see that it was in an accident. Are you positive the frame is straight? Maybe you should do some measurements and check to see that none of the suspension mount points have shifted. I think the Helms manual contains info on chassis specs and clearances.

other than alingment you could have a twisted unibody, sticking caliper,1 wheelbearing thats tighter than the other, theres many thing that can cause the pull i deal with this type of crap on a weekly basis

i know my rear brake pad is draging on the rotor stractched the shit out of it but it was pulling before that, but not as much

i have to hold the steering wheel slighty to the left just a hair to keep it straight, if i let go of the wheel or hold the wheel completely straight it will go to the right but when i hold the wheel it doesn't...pull to where i can feel it...
