If it was an option, I would probably take any heavily scientific and mathematical course as a pass/fail because otherwise it would destroy my GPA. All my math classes have torn me a part and are the reason I'm not above a 3.5.

I have no where near as difficult math as him.
I took my precalc and calcs already, then I did my stat and I'm finishing up my econ stat this next week.
I have another two econ classes, investments, and a couple accountings in there, too but I wouldn't classify them as maths.

But yeah real math vs. business math is crazy. Business math is all decisions and allocation based and not necessarily numbers based, while some shit I've done, like dual variable, linear algebra its all derivations and not really useful for what I'm doing. (business/construction management).
Yeah I have a calc, but we get a ntoe card so I'm raping it right now and trying to get every little bit on the bitch cuz it takes forever to enter the proper formulas into my calc.

I'm a fan of typing it up in size 10 font, then pasting the printout to the note card.
And I'm an Interdisciplinary business major. Essentially business administration/general business but it allowed me to focus on many different areas of business like a heavy concentration in marketing, sales, advertisement, etc. while picking smaller course loads in things that I'm not interested in, i.e., accounting.
If I didn't transfer and lose credits, I probably would have went for a marketing degree (statistically higher overall compensation than most other majors) with a professional selling minor (statistically higher overall compensation over just marketing majors).

Honestly, I'm a year behind because of my late birthday, and I have no idea what I want to go to college for, ergo if I don't figure it out, I'm not going until I figure it out, I don't want to waste the time or money. I don't know, my mind fluctuates every day on what I want to do.

Yep. Some schools only offer a general business degree and you have to minor in something.
University of Washington, regarded as an incredibly elite institution now a days, only has Business Administration.
Currently I'm in the Business Management and Human Resources at Western, and I'm transferring(crosses fingers) for Construction Management to make well, real money.

Thats why you file an application as an 'Undecided' major. You line up your gen. ed. classes and get those out of the way, while you figure out what you'd like to do.
Sometimes it will be harder to be accepted as an Undecided major, sometimes it will be easier. It depends on the number of applicants to the school versus the number of applicants the school desires.
In the end, you save more money by going to school directly out of high school in 99% of the cases. The opportunity cost of not going to school, is greater than the cost of going to school and not knowing what you want to do. The idea behind this is that those who do choose to go to school directly out of high school, will enter better paying jobs sooner than those who do not go to school directly out of high school. Also, statistically speaking, the majority of people who graduate from college are not employed in the area in which they received a degree. The key here is that these graduates have a degree which shows to their employers they have been committed to achieving a valuable goal in their life and it also commands higher compensation than those without a degree.
Essentially it makes the most sense to go to school immediately, barring a few factors. I was going to take a year off of school simply because my head wasn't in school. If you're just going to go to college and be so unmotivated that you fail out or do incredibly poorly, then it doesn't make sense to go until you're ready. It makes sense to go to college, if you're committed to performing well, even if you don't know what you'd like to do with your life. College is a learning experience.

And see, that's where I'm stuck. Because not only do I not know exactly what I want to do, but I'm also to the point that I'm completely burnt out on school. I can't stand it. I don't mind doing the work, but just school in general, I'm so tired of it. So there's that. Reading your post made me start to think about going in as undecided right away, but the fact that I don't know how well I'd do in regards to focusing on it and suckin it up and doin it, I think I might end up wasting my time and money. My buddy did that, went to college, dropped out after I think a semester and a half, then in the spring, went to a different college for a little under a semester, and now he's going all the way to Colorado. Honestly, he's got so much debt racked already and nothing to show for it, and that's the last thing I want.

Only took 9 credits this year and I killed my finals. I actually just changed my major this semester from Mathematics to Civil Engineering, so I've got some catching up to do. As far as math goes I've taken vector geometry, calculus I & II, multivariable calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, intro to proofs, statistics I & II... and I think that's about it. Everything up until linear algebra & proofs wasn't too bad.
See I'm more of a numbers and equations kinda guy, where I can play with different types of equations and derivatives where you can find actual solution(s) too. Once my math classes started becoming more "theory based" classes, and I was writing more English than actual numbers I was like, fuck this.
Civil engineering will get me more money anyways, and plus I'll be able to get a job pretty much anywhere.
