I live with my parents and im 17. Last summer me and my dad built a nice shop out in the field behind my house for a place to work on our cars. I have been gathering parts for my LS turbo build. I have saved and worked my ass off for over 7 months to get this turbo project rolling.
and last night.. some stupid piece of shit decided that they wanted my shit. I dont know who it was, or how they knew I had all that stuff in the garage, but I feel extremely violated and i know my dad does too. the shop we built is a pole building shop, and they simply smashed their way through the side of it with a crowbar or something, and stole my garrett t3 t4, my SLS Ram manifold, HKS ssqv (got it last night), and my obd1 ecu and conversion harness. I cant find my downpipe either I dunno if they stole that or if it is behind the old truck, i was so pissed i didnt even bother to look. My dad lost his heads for his mustang project, and ~$3,000 in tools. most of the big stuff was bolted down so they couldnt get that out but they really made a haul.

I dont know why the fuck people have to steal my shit. Seriously, just get a fucking job like everyone else on the fucking planet, and BUY UR OWN FUCKING PARTS!@!!!!!

Anyway, now ill be running an ebay turbo and manifold, since thats all i can afford.

Long story short, FUCK THIEVES.
 
DAMN! That IS fucked up man, really sorry to hear that... That's really messed up...do you have the serial numbers for the parts or do they have them?? Really sorry though
 
how many of your "friends" know about this shop. cuz someone spilled the beans. if they knew exactly where it was. loose lips cause 95% of security issues
 
where i work we have a great dane....it looks like such a bad ass. his name is Enzo. He's really nice but he looks hella mean an shit. an he guards all the cars.
 
Well, today I was asking my buds if they told anyone what I had goin in the garage. Of course nobody is going to say that they have been telling people.. I was just asking for the hell of it.
Serial numbers- everything I had for the parts was in the boxes. Including the receipts. Oh and before I forget, my 750cc injectors are also missing. Other parts were stolen, such as my lugs, and my set of track rims. I bought them used from a buddy in town for $400. This fucking sucks.
Estimated losses are somewhere in the $2,000 range.
My dad lost a SHITLOAD of tools. Two full sets of Snap On sockets. A full set of open ended wrenches. A sandblaster, a small air compressor, a small bench grinder, and his small portable mig welder. They also went to the extent to slash our air hoses running to the main compressor, so now my dad has to go have those fixed.
Among the mustang parts lost- 351 CJ heads, His new dash for the mustang, the new steering wheel for the mustang, and 2 fenders and headlights for the stang. These are all for his 69 fastback project. My dad has lost around $5,000 worth of stuff.

Cops came by today, they searched for prints high and low, but nothing. They said whoever did it was wearing gloves or was smart about what they are doing. There are tracks behind the shop that show whatever they drove had decently wide tires. Obviosly an SUV or truck of some sort, with all the shit they took. Cops say they cant really do anything... im not sure how the insurance works but hopefully something can be done. This is simply fucking ridiculous. The reason u build a shop is so ur stuff stays dry and things can be worked on.. then someone comes and cleans it out.. its really heartbreaking.. makes me want to sell my car and buy something reliable and call it a fucking day.
 
Seriously that is so fucking stupid. Very sorry to hear about that....there's some guys going around here stealing peoples tools an stuff too....like 4 people this week i heard. i'm makin sure my stuff is locked up tight.
 
Dude seriously that sucks sorry to hear it. Same shit happened at my highschool shop that I'm doing my engine swap in. Over the weekend some dickwads broke in and stole a couple of racing headers and some other parts and tools and a supercharger was damn near unbolted from this racing truck in the shop. I don't feel safe at ALL doing my swap in there now since I asked my shop teacher to lock my shit up while I'm not in class hours to work on it and he says "somebody in here knew about my shit, and you didn't even bother to help me so I don't give a crap about yours either". He lost a little over $1,000 in parts and tools.

If someone so much as stole a vtec sticker off my car (if I was a ricer and had one) I'd kick their ass if I found them.
 
Ya i wouldn't leave my shit in there....I'm doing my swap at my work. It has like prison fences around it an the big ass great dane too. Theres like ferrari's an shit there so they gotta keep it all locked up. So i feel pretty safe about that. But that sucks....lot's of thieves out there.
 
Yeah well we have a 7 foot chainlink around the shop but I highly doubt that stopped them or even slowed them down. Part of the fence fabric was disconnected from the posts. Anyway, the only leads we have right now are the tracks in the backyard, and it snowed last night so yeah it completely covered those up. All in all, theres really no hope for getting all the shit back or getting any money for it. What a bunch of bullshit.
 
I was talking to my boss about this today.... He like 5 hella expensive cars in his shop plus all his tools, an a nice ass computer an shitloads of parts for mercedes an ferrari's. Thats his personal shop, then the shop where i work has all that kinds of stuff but like 5x as many tools. He's got all that shit on lockdown. It's seriously like prison fences around it, barb wire on the top. His huge ass dog "Enzo," and he has camera's that are playing 24/7 so he says. I wish i could help you out bro....thats just stupid.

Believe me I'm really gonna be worried the whole time I'm not in during class hours working on it. But I have no choice that's my only access to tools. Not to mention I'm getting help from a friend who's working on his 240sx.

By the way my swap is in town! It would have got to the school today but there was address complications so I got a call from the post office and it'll be there on monday :D.

I'll probably take some chains from the engine hoists we rarely use and secure it to one of the car lifts or something since I don't get to start my swap til next semester.

Yea but I don't know if it'll do any good. There was a couple assholes that went into the locker rooms (soccer) with bolt cutters and cut the chains and went in there and took all the wallets, ipods, psp's, etc...they got caught the second time and they were the same two that my teacher thinks stole from the shop.
 
ya kids did that to our footballl stuff last year...but a camera caught them and the whole team found out who did it...they got there ass' beat BADLY....i think they moved after that..
 
Haha these 2 were lucky. They had to deal with the law instead and they got a slap on the wrist. One got 5 days at a reassignment center and the other the rest of the semester at the county learning center. I used to be close friends with them in middle school then they started acting like they're hard, couple of wanna-be thugs now.
 
Yep...i know some of those. Theres like 5 kids i was friends with all through elementary school and into middle school. Sophmore year....a few of them(hella stoners) got one of my other friends into drugs...from the first time he smoked weed to the first time he was trying meth was within about a week from eachother. Over a whole month he spent every penny his grandma left him in his bank account with those other retards....40k

At the end of that month...September I believe. He killed himself. Didn't even know what he was doing when he did it...it was really fucked up. All the kids that got him started have since dropped out of highschool. It's messed up...
 
Sorry about all of your stuff, I know it makes you feel like shit, but don't sweat it. You'll just be better prepared now. I recommend some motion activated lights around your shop and x2 on the dog.
 
Sounds a lot like my friends. I used to smoke bud all day every day but I quit 5 months ago. My best friend I knew since kindergarten shot himself in the heart last november he was drunk as fuck. We used to be some badass motherfuckers a year ago now I don't know any of my old friends anymore.

I used to be one of those most hated thieves. Today, I wouldn't even steal candy from a store and I've even returned a found purse and wallet :).
