"The thing is, they've cut my phone off for being like 100 dollars over," he told CBC News. "Here, I'm 85,000 dollars over and nobody bothered to give me a call and tell me what was going on."
that is a good point.

I don't know how the canadian judicial system works, but i know if they tried to pull that off in the US, the guy whop was billed would be walking away with 85k and the phone company would be beat.

I just got a $700 bill for excessive internet usage. I thought my plan was unlimited internet usage but it was not. They goodwilled it and I upgraded to unlimited for 7 dollars a month.

Me too... mine was 825. I am in the process of a credit, and I told them i will restart my mobile internet once this is completed. AT&T sucks.

Sprint charged me $800 in over use of texts' one month, I know I requested unlimited but whatever. I switched carriers cause I hate sprint and went with t mobile which sucks even worse, but I text 10-12k texts a month so I just pay the 15 bucks for unlimited. Yes 10000-12000 not a typo.

I own a sidekick. I text more than you. But I get UNLIMITED (yes, no fine print) use of AIM, Yahoo, MSN, web, text, e-mail, etc. for 20 bucks, plus my 1500 mins for 30 for a grand total of 50 bucks a month, which is WAY cheaper than when I was with sprint. The reason I text more than I talk is because 1) it's less invasive and 2) i get more responses

Normally when I leave voicemail, I never get a call back. Send a text, instant reply. It's odd. Even my 50 year old boss prefers to text than to talk.

he's only use to his one jail call so texting seems like the thing to do.
for the love of fuck.... will you please go fucking kill yourself or something... all you fucking do is shit all over every fucking thread you post in.... you add absolutely NOTHING to this site except drama... you piss off everyone on here with your bullshit lies and fabrications... no one wants you here.... and i cant even add you to my fucking ignore list because id still have to read the 7 other people arguing with your fucking ass...

I'm sure you're going to have some clever fucking comeback to this... probably call me an idiot or some shit... or you'll start crying like a little bitch like you did last time i called you out on something... go instant message everyone on here and cry about your poor little rich boy bullshit life... and how you're just here to learn and share info and don't understand why people have to pick on you... cry your fucking ass off to everyone... then make up some shit about being banned from posting to make people feel bad for you... i really don't fucking care

go to honda-tech and shit all over threads there... they like it

That'd be some courtesy notice. I don't get those. Besides, are you gonna stop downloading porn just so you can read a text you just got? I didn't think so, either.
Who said anything about porn ?

Either way if your a company and someone is racking their bill up would you send a notice saying STOP SPENDING YOUR MONEY. Kinda different when the guy was 100 bux past due on his bill.

I get a text every month telling me what the amount of the bill is and all the details. Home-Boy should get a comp and be done with it. Why need a phone w/ internet to hook up to the comp w/ internet. Some people just have more money than sense. Or just no sense at all w/ no money. Then cry about it when they spend out side their means.

Its called "social responsibility." The company had to be entirely foolish to allow him to run up a bill like that without cutting off his service, unless they knew he was some affluent customer. If he's not an affluent customer, where did the company possibly get the idea they could extend $85,000 worth of credit to an individual?

Fact is, the phone service had a flaw in their system that allowed an individual to act irresponsibly, or the individual was simply was not provided the knowledge to act responsibly, and as such this little mishap should be on the company's own coin.
