hello members, i have a 91 EF std. got a b20 swap with CRX SI harness, LS matifold, b20 throttle body and injectors, distrubutor. running on PR4 ECU. My friend and i did the dpfi to mpfi wiring. Right now i have a problem where my motor fires up and it will shut off right away. on the ecu there was a code 10 but i replace the sensor and that went away and now is not throwing any codes at all, any luck or tips on what i should do? Thank you very much.

well what i do is go through and make everything is wired right triple check everything... when you turn the key too acc your check engine light will light up for about 3 sec priming your fuel system? do you have enough spark? enough gas? did you mess with the timing at all? hook a fuel pressure guage up to see if you pump is pumping enough gas... could be fuel pump... could be alot of things can you give me more detail?

sounds like a sensor or the such. you said it started, but wont hold an idle and shuts down... TPS? if it were that, it would throw a code. sooooo lets rule that one out... try spraying 2+2 into the throttle-body while moving the butterfly open and closed and have someone try and start it up. if it starts and runs than you my friend have a fuel problem. Make sure you wired everything right and not backwards, as well as your sensors.

i have enought sparks, fuel i dont know because seems like fuel is being cut off as soon as it starts. but all i kno is the spark plugs smells like is dumped on fuel. i had a my frind gauge on their but he took it back the fuel was at 38 psi i tink but it slowly drops down. no i havent played the with the timming yet.

yah i'm thinking about sensor too but do you tink you can go down the list wat sensors i need to change? right nowis not throwing any code at all that the wird thing before was code 10 but i change that sensor and no more code. by the way wat is the 2+2 spray and wat does that do.

tps sensor (throttle position)
MAF sensor (mass air flow)
MAP sensor (reads vacuum on the tb)

make sure you didnt get them backwards, especially with your own wiring.

2+2 is a spray you can buy at an autoparts store. It is like fuel. you spray it in the throttle-body while opening and closing the butterfly and crank the engine. (this is usually done when an engine will not start and you are checking if its not getting fuel into the combustion chamber. usually it will start (if fuel is your problem), but it will not run very long...maybe a few seconds until the 2+2 burns up.
