92 civic Si v.s. CX model???

just wondering, i have a 92 civic si hatch, car weighs 2326lbs, where as the CX model only weighs 2094lbs....where does the Si gain 232lbs, where is the weight added to the Si??? still has manual windows and door locks, only difference i know of is the sunroof but does a sunroof weigh 232lbs???

Sunroof, I believe a larger gas tank, power everything, rear wiper assembly. Few things here and there.

Oh didn't read it, I believe the sunroof is at minimum 125 lbs with everything.

All the little things add up though. Yours probably doesn't weigh 2326, I think that was the gross weight for a fully loaded.

AC/PS probably weigh about 50lbs together.

the SI comes with more sound deadening on the floor, sunroof, ac, power steering, rear discs.. thats where all the weight comes from

As far as the big heavy stuff:

Sunroof
Bigger gas tank
More trim/sound deadening material
more power tid-bits
AC
PS
and atleast a front, if not a front and rear swaybar.

my 95 dx came with a front sway bar...

and a dx is heavier than a cx

DX has more trim and a bigger gas tank I know for certian, and they often have PS and AC
