I have a 1995 Honda Del Sol, D16 VTEC Engine with about 155000 miles on it. When it dies what is the best engine swap that will give me exceptional hp, torque and will allow me to turbo charge it without harm being done to the engine. Where can I get that at an inexpenceive cost? What kind of tranny will I want? What kind of turbo will I want? And what would that cost approx. Would I want to put extra structure in to compensate for the power gain?

Thanks for all the help!

Search.

I'll get you started - Specializing in JDM-USDM Engines & Parts...hmotorsonline.com take a look at their motors they even sell complete changeovers, something most places don't offer, at a reasonable price including axels and shift linkage which you'd otherwise have to buy separately.I highly recommend you go with these guys - my D15B Vtec motor and tranny look and run like new and HMO has a good reputation on the line, good customer service, and shipping is cheaper than anywhere else I checked.

That question is very hard to answer not knowing your budget and goals for the car

Is b16a3 one of the more powerful engines? what is the difference between D, B, H, and K series? My budget will be about 10000 for the entire car (body, interior, performace)

D- Series, are single cam engines, B-Series twin cam engines. K-series are one of newest engines also twin cams and expensive.. i will sugest you to get a whole swap from a B-series...

So it would be the B16A3? Where can I find that Cheap but new? What kind of transmission would be best? Where can I find that cheap but new? What type of turbo would I be looking at? How much would that cost. Any added things such as upgrading the ecu, turbo timer, boost controller, gauges, fuel system. Would I need fuel injection? What kind of numbers would I be looking at in the end just for the those parts?

well go with the b16a3 but if possible find yourself a jdm b16 or b18c5 head. You will enjoy the power. And with the size of your budget I am willing to bet you plan on making this a show car?

alright well check out hmotors.com for a jdm b16 swap kit. You will need a new ecu, or at least a chip that could reprogram your ecu with the fuel maps and such for the b16. and the b-series motors are all fuel injected...

Wow. Seriously, go to Wikipedia and do some research on all of this crap before you ask any more questions here. We're not going to just spoon feed you all of this. I will give you a few choice bits of info however...

1.) All Del Sols are fuel injected. You don't need to buy a fuel injection system for a swap. 2.) You can't get new B-series engines anymore, they quit making them in 2001. 3.) You have to use a B-series transmission on a B-series motor. That's your only choice. 4.) There are lots of B-series motors besides the B16A3. Like I said earlier (and like others suggested), DO SOME READING BEFORE YOU ASK A SHIT TON OF QUESTIONS!

Also, you need to be realistic about this. If you want a decent motor that's powerful and tune-able, it's not going to be cheap. For a full B-series swap and a decent turbo kit you're probably looking at between 5-8 grand.
