Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and new to the swapping. I'm wondering if I could ask some question reguarding to swapping an H22a into an 91 Accord.

When swapping do I need to keep the old A/C compressor, Power Steering, Alternator and so on? Or I can just use the one on an H22a engine? And the tranny? Do I have to use the one on the accord or the h22a one? Please help me out, thanks.

I'm pretty sure you can just use your stock trans, and for the A/C compressor, Power Steering, Alternator and so on, I would use the stuff thats on the h22.

I was thinking, maybe use an H22A head and F22A block doing hybrid thing... so later I can turbo charge it. What do you think?

As far as the accesories:
A.C.- You can unbolt you original A.C. from the F22A motor without
disconnecting any line before taking out the motor from the car
and then bolt it up on the H22 after dropping it in. Same bracket
and compressor will fit on the H22a block. This saves you time on
discharghing and charging you gas.

Power Steering Pump- I used the H22a Pump and belt and bought a
H22a high pressure hose line to make it work.

TRANSMISSION- it denpends on what kind auto or manual. If it's manual
you will have to drill and tap the 2 unused holes for the mount
bolts to reposition them to make the mount fit on the H22a trans.
Very easy to do. If you are doing an automatic, then its a straight
forward swap you can put the F22a mount on the trans. without
drilling and tapping. I would suggest using the H22a tranny this
way you get the full potential of the motor. The F22a gearing is to
long. you will be dropping out of vtec everytime you are shifting
gears on the F22a trans.

You can re-use your Accord's transmission, but I'd recommend upgrading to the H22 tranny while you're at it. The Accord is geared more for fuel economy (long gears), so you won't be getting the full benefit of the H22 if you stick with the Accord's transmission.
