i got a 96 honda civic dx.
im wanting to get at least 150 mph out of my car
what engine could i put in what turbo or s/c should i get what headers what intake. and what other shit could i do to get that.



im really confused on what to do. so many options i dono what to go with.
 
Why so obsessed with top speed??

Just turbo your stock motor and should be able to get 150 mph out of it.

dont give out info unless you knw what your yalking about
the top speed limiter is set to 111 or 113 from the factory
its really hard to achieve a top speed of 150 mph..and what you would need to do is more towards the tranny side of the mods.
your gearing would have to be totally diff.

do you mean you want to get 150 HP out of your motor??

lol good luck trying to reach 150 MPH in a civic..
dont forget to get one of those 3 ft aluminum spoilers,a widebodykit,and lower the whole car..so you way more aerodynamic..
wtf do you plan on doing with 150 mph???
better yet. where the fuck do you plan on getting to 150 mph

k then forget 150 mph. what could i do to my dx to get maybe 130?140?or lil lower or maybe what could i do to get max mph out of my car

and change your gearing
but it all depends on the motor your using,the tranny,
 
No, you're not going to own anyone cause you can do 150mph. It's just stupid, don't do it.

My stock civic can do 127 mph, but it takes like 2 minutes to get up to that speed.

Turbo your little D series and you'll be satisfied for a while.

Umm.. you need to modify your ecu to turbo your car anyway so that would eliminate your speed limiter. Don't give out mis-information d. h.

The tranny in a dx would be tall enough to get to that top speed. You should be able to get to about 170mph at 6700rpm theoretically with a dx of you have enough power.

Turbo with chipped p28 and stock dx tranny would do it. Why you need that much top speed and why you are obsessed with it anyway is stupid and you are asking for a MAJOR ticket and are going to kill someone, hopefully its not me and I hope you get caught.

i already told him in a pm...a car that will reach 120 in less than 13 seconds is way faster than a civic that hes trying to attempt reaching 150 with..it wil take too long to reach that high of a speed

i can catch 170mph with different ecu charger and chip?

No. It is not possible to do 170 mph in a civic. Never mind and don't even try it.

We don't need some retard flying down the freeway doing that kind of speed in a civic and killing someone. Civics can't do more than 80 mph.

But yes you can chip your ECU and take 13 minutes to hit 145 or so. Then aerodynamics come into play

Yes I know that he wants to do 150+ mph on the freeway. It isn't a good idea and he is going to kill someone. I think that we are on the same page here with the thought that it is not a good idea.

P.S. I have chipped my own and friends ecus and tuned my own cars and friends cars.

I have made my hmt kit for my z6 and my buddies Y7 and ran them for some time. It was able to do over 125mph pretty quickly and easily.

I do know what I am talking about.

NO IM ASKING TO BE GOING FAST AS HELL! lol

but im beside that now. i rather get top speed in quicker time.
