Tach fluctuates

Just bought this del sol and had noticed that the tach fluctuates going down the road, not much at idle. flutters about 500-1000 rpm's doesnt seem to effect the idle or driveability just incredibly irritating. And ideas as to what can cause this? Everything seems to be plugged in at the dash, I already have had the cluster out to replace some bulbs and replaced the cap, rotor, plugs so far, so any insight to this would be great!

check you speed snsor on the trans a loose connection would be my guess

Mines doing it to....ignitor, grounds, cluster plug?

speed sensor on the transmission, or the wires/clip is corroded. It could also be a resistance issue between the wiring from the distributor and the cluster inside the car, so try tracing the wires and make sure they are in good shape.
