Mirage Updates! 3/8 updated.

well my mirage is equipped with the biggest brakes an OEM mirage has up front. diesel things really. in hopes of moving up to a potential 4g63t next year, its time for me to make some preparations.

behold the galant vr4 260mm rear disc kit. this is the first bolt-on kit ever provided for the mitsubishi mirage using parts from three different cars and an adapter. granted they are 4x114.3 but that doesnt matter since i have two sets of multi-wheels, and i will be moving to 4x114.3 up front over the summer.

brand new 3g mirage turbo/1g dsm fwd rear caliper assemblys with pads
6061 aluminum caliper mounting brackets
3g mirage sedan hubs with good bearings-bolt on
1g dsm rear brake lines
ebrake cable adapters

it will be on its way shortly, and all i need to buy is galant vr4 rotors hehe. this comes at a perfect time since my drums/shoes are toast.

That's pretty big; about the size of my front rotors. How much power you looking to put down?

Are you going to paint any of the pieces before putting them in? :)

yeah honda rotors are tiny.

im looking at 200+ sohc turbo this year, and 300+ evo motor next year.

i am going to paint them hot pink.

yeah. i will have one of the few mirages with rear disc in the entire US. i want that ish to stand out.

lol... 260mm... 10".. The Big Brake upgrade is almost as big as an EM1's stock rear rotors... :)

came with drums stock. you keep forgetting the mirage weighs like 500lbs less than an EM1 - and this is for the rear ;)

did you buy a whole kit put together for the conversion? how much did it cost?

looks good. always fun to have good stoppers.

yeah kinda. i had to buy the rotors seperately for 50 apiece.

what you see in the picture is a complete bolt on, bleed and drive away kit - minus the rotors. this complete kit has been bolted up and used for a little while... i got the first production once since i pre-ordered first.

up front are 256mm rotors, 260mm in the back shortly... when i move to 4x114.3 up front i'll be running 276mm rotors.

But you still won't be able to keep up with me at the Autocross... :)

Although I'm looking forward to flogging the shit out of your car again... ;)

we'll see. with an extra 100 hp that second and a half your 300+hp car has on me may be gone ;)

2 words for you that you never saw my car with (WHEN I WASNT HUNGOVER LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER)... R COMPS. :)

Oh yeah that, Tein Flex Coilovers (Not sure if i'm gonna use the EDFC or not as its only allowed in SM), more freeflowing exhaust, swaybar brackets & endlinks, and who knows maybe even swaybars by the time the season starts... ;)

Don't worry... I also put a hitch on the STi, so if you want, I can pull the shitbox around the track for you so you can be as quick as me... :)

Im all for rear disc conversions! I actually upgraded to dc2 (integra) disc's front/rear on my eg dx hatch, which comes with drums in the rear.
