oil pan fitment ...

Quick question that has been boggling my mind for the last few days...

Will a first generation b16a oil pan work properly on a b18a bottom end? Also, will the oil pickup from the b16 flow enough? Ive always used the b18 pan/pickup, but my pickup is damaged and I have no oil pan now.

I'm pretty sure if you use the corresponding pickup for the pan you should be ok.

I need a little more assurance other than "should fit". I guess ill contact a few sources and see what they say, monday.

yes it will fit i have a b16 oil pan on my b18a1... im pretty sure there the samething.. but ya it will fit...

Did you use the oil pickup from the b16?
I am asking because my ls pickup is damaged and I will not use it.
My b16 is a first gen. b16a. 1991 to be exact.

no i used my ls one.... they where the same if i remember right... my b16 was a 1st gen too...

my first gen b16 oil pick up did not fot my b18b. i had use my b18. hope that helps

thanks, I will most likely have to buy a new LS pickup.
