I don't know the exact engine, F22 etc.. but its a 2.0i VTEC SOHC (i think).

does anyone know the best fuel station / brand to fill her up with, and would you recommend premium or standard?

also, is there any recommended fuel additive that's proven to work, redex, NOS cleaner etc.

Octane Booster's dont do anything, bottom line. You would have to put 20 bottles of booster in to raise your octane level by one point. They say it will treat 20 gallons of gas (most). If you do infact add anything to your fuel, add a fuel injector treatment when your tank is almost empty, add 1 bottle of gas treatment and put about 10 gallons of super (93 octane where I am). Do this for 4 times. Ive personally seen good results (with high mileage).

yea i was talkin about cleaner, not octane booster. ;)

i think the NOS Injector cleaner i used on my punto is what killed it, it was suffering head gasket problems, was gonna take it in the next day to get it replaced, and i threw in some NOS Injector Cleaner into 1/4 tank of gas, anyway the temperature went to max, then more, and more, then it died. lol so i'm a little cautious about using that stuff.

i think standard is 95 and premium is 97/98 here. so you suggest putting some cleaner in, then fillling up with premium? bottle says treat every 3000miles, but i certainly noticed oomph with the punto after using that stuff. lol

what about gas brands? cos i know different garages have different types, i think it was BP that did V-Power, not sure. i was think V-TEC, V-Power... but i dunno lol.

Fuel injection cleaner won't cure a head gasket issue it will just attempt to get the buildup out of the injectors. All gas is pretty much the same. Comes from 1 of 2 oil refineries. My friend works for Camen Cargo, he is a fuel analyst for them.

cool, i wasn't trying to fix headgasket problems with cleaner lol. i'm not dippy... just special :D

i think the fact it works by raising engine temperature in an attempt to "burn" the crap from the inside of the engine etc, probably finished the already knackered gasket off.

so fuel's fuel, thats basically it, just go for premium and hope for the best :)

groovy. :) cheers
