f20b ecu question

im lookin at this 97 accord and it has the DOHC F20b but i dont know what kind of car i can pull the ECU out of it, cuz it needs a new one. does any one know what car it will work with.....its 5 spd....i also dont know the original engine

I'm sure your friend's P28 is chipped and tuned to run the F20B. A completely stock P28 won't necessarily run it correctly.

would it run if i put the stock ecu in there...i need a stock ecu that make it run correct, cuz we started it and it does run, but it spits and sputters. it is drivable but i was just wonderin what kind of stock ecu i can throw in it so it run good

F20b is a non-vtec motor.....

i dont see why a P12 ecu wouldnt work....its out of the F22a1, only issue i see is that the F20 is a DOHC so perhaps cam sensors being differnt??? idk

Uh...no, not always. There's a single-cam version and a dual-cam version, and both of them are available with VTEC. The dual-cam F20B is basically a 2 liter version of the H22.

Uh...no, not always. There's a single-cam version and a dual-cam version, and both of them are available with VTEC. The dual-cam F20B is basically a 2 liter version of the H22.

and the f20 doesnt just have more aggressive cams. the f20 was made to race in the 2 liter races. its the ths same block as the h22 but just 2L instaed of the 2.2L of the h22. im not sayen the f20b is the h22 im just sayen same blocks diffrent liters

F20B is pretty much a destroked H22A Type-S. Yes, a H22A ECU will work. A P28 with F20B or H22A chip will work too.

the f20b is an f series cast iron block, with h22 type s head and cam, but there are two different cams put in, one less aggressive (180hp) for the auto, and more aggresive (200hp)for the manual
