i am back with a question!

after doing engine swap or tranny swap, do i have to have my wheels aligned?

im still doing a lot of research for my manual swap on my car and there are still so much stuff to learn.

please explain it with some detail.

thanks a bunch and have a great day! :D

any time you take a hub off of a car or move it from where its bolted down you mess with the aligment,

then....

even without professional level skill, will i be able to get it pretty close enough to drive about couple of miles to get it aligned?

lol sound lame but just wondering...

thanks

lol yea it will last a few weeks actually, so just make sure everything is back the way it should be and it will be fine until you get there even if its 2 weeks later

hmmm

ok your reply actually helped a lot.. but the problem is i just got my wheels aligned about 1500? 2000 miles ago it might not even close to 1500miles. i gotta look. and im planning on doing swap duing spring break which is in march.

it would be nowhere close to 5000 miles... this kinda sucks lol

...

after you put her all back together just get on a smooth flat road and let go of the wheels to see if she is pulling any. if not i wouldnt worry about it to much,, has the car been lowered

You're planning on doing a motor swap and you're worried about spending a few bucks on getting another alignment?

Also, are you planning any suspension mods? Honestly I'd look into that before doing an engine swap. I hate to see cars with swaps or motor work looking like 4x4s on their stock suspension...

i know swap itself cost a lot i just wanted to know if i could get it right myself, or i wanted to know if i had to get the alignment done professionally.

sumone might ask, "if you are getting alignment professionally, y don't you get that tranny swap done professionally?" yes that makes more sense.

but i want to study mechanical engineering and like playing with mechanical "toys"

however i don't know about "wheel alignment" as much as i know about transmissions and stuff

when i got this car, first car, i didn't get to choose one. so it just got to be an automatic. what im planning on doing is just tranny swap. and then as i get better job (actually part time but w/e) im looking to to other mod

thanks for the comment though appreciated it :)
