i Juss Brought A 98 Prelude With 80 K On Dash, I Got The Car Checked Out Engine Is Like Brand New....today Is My First Official Day As Tuner Type Of Guy. Came American Muscle, I Dont Know How Much I Can Really Get For The Engine I Juss Know Its A V-tec Si Or Sh Model Dont Know Really, But If Someone Can Please Tell What All I Can Do To Tune It Up Would Be Nice.
 
Well first off, welcome to Tunerdom.

Tuners, as you know by now, wear capes. We also wear colors, so look out. You don't wanna be on the wrong side of town wearing the wrong tuner color, or we'll tune your ass from here to kingdom come.

You'll need to learn Tuner hand signals. Talk to Blanco.

Also, Tuners speak only in Latin.

Finally, I imagine you have learned to fly by now. Keep up the good work, but watch out for tuning / levitating indoors. You can hit your head.

Dual Over Head Cams or Single Over Head Cam DOHC or SOHC?

Since the guy said "top of the line" it's probably a DOHC.

Does the valve cover say "DOHC VTEC"?
 
it's DOHC. Dual Overhead Cam. I don't wanna be an asshole, But these guys will tear you apart, not least of all me . Tuning is the same thing in 4 cylinders or V8s. Same principles. You really don't have to worry about re-education camps until you get into rotaries.

It's all the same exact science. I still work on engines from the turn of the century, and it's all the same god damn thing.

but yeah i got a co worker who actually is tryna buy juss my engine he dont even wont the body of the car complaining thats it too heavy. ummm...he mentioned earlier today a v-tec controller and, and more shit.

hey man that shit is funny juss fucking with cha, but um yeah how bout i swap that 98 lude engine into a 94 integra Gsr, but that car is small... i have a family that has old ppl that got cars with extremly low miles...
 
This swap is worthless - the two cars are going to give you the same result. Preludes are flagship cars, and may be built better in these years. But both cars have the same capability.

The efforts into the swap really arent worth it. What is your long term plan ?

income tax is arriving soon i wanna rebuild my trans juss like i did the impala, sequnce wise small gears etc... and juss completely add every freaking part i can step by step, to max it on the dyno screen!! cuz my impala maxed out well over 540 hp. it juss drinks tank in almost no time.
 
When you say "Sequential", you mean disabling the vacuum on the transmission so you have to manually select gears ?
 
Because an H series sequential transmission will run you over $6000, easily.

fOR MY IMPALA I HAD MY UNCLE WHOS A TRANS SPECIALIST, I KN0W WHAT YOU'RE TALKING BOUT, GEAR SHIFTIN PEDALS IN THE STEERIN WHEEL, THAT WILL BE MY NEXT STEP AFTER THE ENGINE IS FINISH WIT THE LUDE, MY UNCLE ACTUALLY GOT THE IDEA FROM A FRIEND OVER SEAS AND WANTED TO TEST HIS THEORY ON MY IMPALA. IT WORKED NOW MY SHIT TOPPING OUT 160 EASY, BUT IM AFRAID TO GO FASTER CUZ I GOT A SPEEDIN TICKET FOR FELONY FOR DOUBLING THE SPEED LIMIT ON 45 NORTH HEADIN TOWARDS DALLAS

but thats bmw type of shit you're talking bout the kit and then the trans cost way more than 6ix thousand, that new lancer has it, thats known as clutch less tansmission now thats the shit
 
So yeah, he disconnected the vacuum lines from the shifter for the trans. You can't do that with a honda transmission. It won't improve your top speed (... and.. I don't think this little vacuum-3-card-monte he did with your Impala did either).

So this Prelude of yours in automatic ? This plays into your decision of the future. What are your plans with this ?
