when it comes to this topic i tend to think about rights of passage and education. ideally, if all children were raised properly and given decent education, love and encouragement, mind expansion would become part of the process in whichever form seemed suitable for that person. i have a huge amount of respect for anyone who is teaching mentoring or raising people, especially at a young age, because this is arguably the fundamental foundation of a switched on mentality.
unfortunately for those who feel like they have found inner peace and happiness, the world is becoming increasingly small and frustrating as we become surrounded by people we would not normally choose to be surrounded by. we wish that we could turn the light bulb on for other people, and we do spend energy hoping that they will listen and look for their own answers. because we have this forum, these cars, unlimited music and art and a diminishing nature means that we have been given some of the best tools man has to use, but abuse and disrespect turns the world ugly.
my hope is that perpetual ignorants, stoners, alcoholics, crackheads, racists, sexists, and any other abusers will eventually wake up and see the light, but for now the best i can do is try to positively encourage the people i come in contact with, and constantly strive to look myself in the mirror and ask, can i improve my character?
quality is my ideal
