i juss bought this 98 lude 80kmiles, but a neighboor own has this 300z thats been in his garage since like dinosaur time, this freakin car has only 46k... he's in his 60's and he dont want much for it

Eh, I'd say skip it. I've yet to see a fast one in person(although I know they exist). For that much, you can get a decent 240SX which has more potential; or get a Datsun Z.

I'd say get it if it's the twin turbo. If the guy won't let you see, or is holding back details, I'd be skeptical. Ask him for the vin so you can carfax it. Also run the vin on the net and you can find out all you want to know about the car. Also I believe that the 94 and 96 are the same car.

as far as i know i dont think the bodys changed much in the last gen 300zx's.

they are very fun cars though, former roomate had one (na) and it was fun to drive, id rather a 350z though, but 2300 isnt that bad of a price, especially if its a 96.

big bonus if its the tt model though, lots more fun.

I'd pay cash for that car tomorrow if it has that low of miles and is in good shape even if its non turbo.

VERY hard to find a 300ZX in good shape. even harder to find one with low miles.

FYI 69-73 240Z 74 260Z 75-78 280Z 79-83 280ZX 84-89 300ZX 1st gen 90-96 300ZX 2nd gen 2003+ 350Z

if its a TT model I wouldn't doubt it bringing in 10K at least if its mint and with that low of miles.

300zx TT = The Nissan Supra and fucking awesome. I would buy that car for $2500 in a heartbeat if I had the cash, and even throw in my one and only 93' civic with the cash for it.

if dude is selling a tt model for 2300, then he truly is senile.
i doubt it is the tt model.

but even the na is well worth 2300 if its in good condition.
friend of mine just sold his 93 300zx that was FUCKED UP for 2200.

if you got the cash, get it. you can always swap in a tt motor.

Pound for Pound the 300ZX in that generation was significantly a lesser performer than the Supra, but as a car to live with - the 300Z and ZX were far more "fun". Also better at lower speed maneuvering.

It's a matter of taste, up at those levels. I "need" a 4 seat GT car, and the Supra has been my choice for decades.

300ZX comes in a 2x2 option with rear seats.

also there's no such thing as a 300z

Who can fit in the back of a 300ZX? I'm 5'6 and I was cramped back there.

Who can fit in the back of any real sports car?

If you want room in the back get a S4 or M3 sedan.

Mclaren F1 has adequate rear , er passenger, seats. I'm just saying, like the CRX rear seats, it's pretty pointless.
