i am driveing a 1992 civic vx hatch with a A6 motor all stock with a EX tranny i filled the tank to the top and for about 411 miles to the tank.i cant rember how much i put in tho i think it was around 10 gal it is a stock VX and that all around town drivein i took it on the high way one time

do you honestly need told how to do this? lol. you have an odometer and a trip meter. use your trip meter :)

oy. the ignorant/stupid/naive/forgetful get no love on HS apparently :D. i'll help a guy out: reset your trip to zero every time you fill up. that way the next time you hit the pump you can divide the # of miles traveled (trip meter) by the # of gallons you just pumped in. = mpg.

:slap: sorry had to. :D

I have this conversation with my mother every week. Of course, she's in the early stages of Alhzeimers.

i'm going to admit to spending about 5 minutes after every fillup doing the mental calculation. i hear that shit fends off alzheimers. but yeah my division skillz are lacking if it isn't an easy number. :fail:

haha, dummy.

honda=10 gallon tank

350 miles to the tank.

this is a hard SAT question.
350/10=35 mpg. hahaha^_^

What happens if you only fill up 9 gallons?
well, you look in the little owners manual and find how big the tank is. most hondas have a 10 gallon tank.

I should edit it so say "10 gallon tank" instead of "10 gallon fill up"

regardless of what you fill up it is easy....

1. Fill the tank up
2. Start tripometer
3. Drive
4. When the needle hits E, go to the gas station
5. Fill up and record the amount of gallons you just used.
6. Go in the car and write down the miles on the trip
7. Total Miles on fill up/gallons of gas on this fill up = miles per gallon

right. now do 8.25 gallons and 364 miles in yer head.. while yer driving in commuter traffic. :slap:

oh right, 44.12 repeating (5 miles later..).

not dumb, just not fast :D

i'm just teasing. don't get all sad. ^_^

not all of us are actuaries (sniff)

ps damn i love my honda. what's not to  about 44mpg!

i gettin 41mpg around town i am going to try it on the high way this weekend i am going to ny
i don't think any hondas get that good except the vx on the freeway. you might want to check your math.

My Civic routinely got 40+ mpg, driving normally. Driving smoothly, my CRX has averaged 52 mpg.

So yeah, I believe all these figures. I've SEEN Walter (Georgebunchasevens) get 60+ mpg on a Clayton build.

my stock D16Z6 del sol got 40+ on the highway by simply removing the intake resonator and putting a K&N drop in filter in
