i wonder if the veyron was in "uber fast" mode and if they used the launch setting.

1001 hp with awd will eat the bmw. i'm surprised it was as close as it was. i think a freeway run would be even worse.
 
you're talking about a 1.5 million dollar car vs a 60 thousand dollar car.

the competition is like taking your civic with a 1.5L out against enzo

and hell, even that isn't close. the money spread on the enzo to civic is only HALF that of the m3 to veyron

the GTR is a better car in terms of balls out performance, even i'll admit that.

it's also about 25k pricier, and 95% more likely to get stolen cuz OMG ITS A SKYLINE!!!!111 and the motor probably bolts into the 350z.

japenese cars in general...what is the one japanese car that can be made quick with very little investment?
 
Nissan Sentra SER (with the NA FWD SR20... just add turbo)
Nissan 240sx (swap in a RWD turbo SR20... or turbo the KA24)
Mazda RX7 (second gen turboII... upgrade the turbo, port the shit out of the engine, upgrade the ignition)

all can be bought dirt cheap and made pretty damn fast (for street use) with minimal investment (less than the cost of a B16 or B18C swap)

SERs are trash, drifting has killed the low entry point for 240s and most people dont know how to work on a rotary.

The car I remember the most is the RX7. That was a great car.

Plus most people are not born knowing how to work on car engines they have to learn. Same thing with the rotary engine, so there shouldn't be an excuse.
