Can anone offer any insight on stuffing a v6 from a 01 accord into a 96 integra 4d?

Supose a guy had a full donner accord in hand.

insight no. good luck and post pics. lol but I am thinking it might not fit in the engine bay...they are pretty tight with a 4 banger in there. it may be a lot of custom work. but don't quote me on that

Here's some insight: don't do it.

Seriously, that's way more trouble than it's worth. You want a 200 horsepower Teg? Look towards an H22.

The endevor wouldnt be about achiving a certain performance level. It is simply a wrecked car with a good motor sitting next to a good car with a bad motor. Further, a "see if i can make it work" curiosity.

Likely ill just end up putting a rebuild into the teg.

well if that is all it is. you may need to push the firewall back and such. that would be too much work. but really I wouldn't even bother swapping the motor in the teg. it already has the b18 right? it would be more worth your money to just rebuild that motor.

I understand the curiosity aspect of it, but it really wouldn't be a simple swap at all. You're talking about a completely custom installation. No one makes mounts for a swap like that, so it would all have to be fabricated. You'd have to figure out a way to mount the J-series transmission as well; there's no way that the V6 is going to bolt up the Integra transmission. You're also looking at an OBD conversion of some kind.

Unless you've got mad fabricating and wiring skills you'd probably be better off to just pull the Accord's motor and tranny and try to sell them.

Not trying to discourage you, I'm just trying to give you a realistic view of how difficult this swap is going to be. It's definitely not a bolt-it-in-and-go type of thing...
