I'm going to put my f22 accord engine and 5-speed trans in my 93 civic cx hb, I need to know what I need to do to wire the engine up.

Did you read the post I left you about this in your other thread?

Honestly I think this is a dumb idea...aside from just the wiring, you're going to need an expensive mount kit and you're going to have to do some cutting to make the transmission fit. Unless you plan on swapping an H22 in the future, this swap is pretty much pointless. I would just pick up a cheap D-series tranny and save your money towards the swap that you really want. Don't settle for a "temporary" upgrade, it's just money wasted that could go towards the engine you actually want...

Yes I read your last post, I understand your point, but I already have the accord trans and engine all in running condition in my 91 accord, I'm only thinking of doing the swap if the accord does not sell, I have it on craigslist right now for a $1000. If it sell I'll get a b-series swap, vtec or not, and put that in. If it does not sell than I'm going to put the engine and trans in my civic!

I can get axles and mounts on ebay for around $200 shipped. I'm also a welder/fabricator so modifying the car for the trans to fit its not a problem, I'm may do something different with the head, I'm almost thinking a h23 head, and turboing it later.

I just need to know the route to take with wiring the engine up.

I also have a good f22 block, if I decide to go with a different head I'll use the spare f22 block, I may even get a cheap accord 5-speed and just take the freshly rebuilt one out of the accord and put the cheap one in it and sell the car for less, then just use the spare f22 and the freshly rebuilt trans, in the civic.

I have a few options, but I want to know about the wiring.

Ah, well if you can fabricate metal, then I guess the install wouldn't be much of a problem. If both cars are OBD1, then the wiring should really be pretty easy. You're not going to have to rewire anything, and you're not adding VTEC either, so it should be pretty much plug and play. You might have to extend or shorten a wire here or there to accommodate the new engine.

And yeah, the H23 head would be a nice addition. A guy I know on another forum I frequent did an F22/H23 hybrid in his Prelude and it worked out pretty nice for him. He's boosted now. I'll see if I can get you some more info on the head swap.

Ok , I found a complete H23 with low miles, for $200 bucks, can you guys give me some links on the install of the engine and what I need to cut and so on?

The f22a6 is not a total loss. Most throw it out, but they do put out some good stock numbers. You can easily use a h23 intake manifold and still run the iab's. A h23,h22 transmission will also suit your needs if the f22 gears are too long. They also have a very low compression which means they handle boost very well. I too have been considering this swap. Im interested in it really. Plus like pointed out before if you fabricate your car for a f series then you would be setup for a h series swap, which means sickining quick civic.

Good link..... http://www.hasport.com/tech/installs/efh1.pdf

Seems to me the most costly part of this swap would be sourcing axles. The rest would be so simple.

u could use 90 Honda accord intermediate shaft and 94+ teggy axles if your not gonna go over 200hp more than that they will break on hard launches

I would

Sorry to be the evil empire here, I would totally do this swap. Was gonna do it myself but decided to go with a B20 - VTEC I had (already had the complete swap). I would, however, go with the Bisimoto adapter plate and run the D-series transmission ( Bisimoto Race Engineering - H/F2D adapter ) rather than the H/F tranny. I think there would be more D series tansmissions around rather than H's. PLUS (yes, a big plus), no hacking apart your interior to make the H series shift box and cables work! There is a bit of fab work to do, but you gotta admit, it's a "different" swap, and it is still a 2,2L motor (hey, Bisi ran 9's with that motor!! Non-VTEC and all!!)And like D15Beater says, the H23 intake manis bolt on (have to use the thermostate housing as well with it).

Just my 2 cents. Good luck with whatever swap you, dude.
