I took another KILLER photo, and I can't find it on my phone. It's giving me grief getting to external memory. I'll look around for it and upload it later.

Or go outside and take another :)

how cold is it over there? i'm a pussy and don't like to ride under about 55 degrees.

it was 36 this morning, it's 45 now with a high of 48 today.

I have long underwear on, but I was t-shirt and Icon jacket with liner today, neck wrap and gloves.

I don't mind my legs getting cold, I DO mind my neck and core getting cold. That's unridable. But my tires take forever to warm up, and they sanded major roads last night. That was fun. Also this morning the roads were wet. I just take it easy and avoid the temptation to crack open the throttle and distort reality.

Wah, get some good riding gear and it wont faze you in the least bit, unless you have a really powerful bike. =)

I'm good for about 30-35o before I start getting cold. 40-50o weather is great if its sunny.

All in the gear...

ya, i wasn't thinking cold weather when i bought my riding gear. i have a dainese jacket, arai helmet and leather gloves and leather riding boots. I usually wear under armor under jeans and my jacket. I just can't get warm when it's really cold.

and i don't have a really powerful bike, just my '07 R6.

Holy balls kids... Riding in anything above zero is completely sane.

Get some better clothes.... for me its gloves, when my hands go.. forget about it.

its all about layers, high socks, riding pants tucked into the racing boots, under shirt, turtle neck and a heavy winter riding jacket, tuck the under shirt into your underwear and the turtle neck into the pants, then put on one of those ski mask with the eye holes, tuck that into the turtle neck pull the turtle neck as high as you can to cover your neck, put helmet on, then the shades. only thing left is some winter riding gloves.

=)

easy!

LOLOLOL..... Boots, reg socks, jeans, 2 t shirts, jacket, cotton chief, gloves, helmet.

You guys crack me up.

If I'm able to do a buck going down the road with out getting cold when its 40 out, I could care less. =)

I'm good down to the lowest pavement conditions with a simple sweater/sweatshirt, the jacket with lining, the riding pants over jeans, and my balaclava under my helmet. And gloves, of course.
When it's colder than that, I don't take to the streets. That gets me warm down to about 32 degrees at sealevel.

It's the humidity that kills you, regardless of the temperatures.

get one of the chin/face deals
like this

i remember riding with winter boots, a full thermal coverall suit, and winter gloves
riding was nice but the gloves let the air go right through and were too bulky
my chin never got cold though

I use a general purpose balaclava, very thick material. All of the outdoors stay outdoors.

On a related note, I rode in my coldest weather to date: Thursday night, 25 degrees.

My hands were frostbitten. I had to seriously get help pulling the gloves off, staving off the HEINOUS pain, and then soak them up. I won't be able to get a fingerprint for at least another week. But just my hands, surprisingly. The rest of me was fine, including my feet.

I wore a neoprene balaclava that protects like the ones you're showing, fog in my eyeglasses and helmet became a serious issue.
