jdm dohc f22b , youll have to do nothing really its a pretty straight forward swap.

He could also be talking about the 94-97 single-cam motor. Either way, like you said, it's pretty much a bolt-in swap. If it's the DOHC version then use the dual-cam ECU.

h23 ecu will work for the dohc. If your gonna go f22b sohc, dont youll be gooing backwards if you do.

Why would an F22B single cam be "going backwards"? Yeah, it's not much of an upgrade, but it's still an upgrade. The 94-97 F22s have a few more horsepower than the 90-93 versions. It would probably have lower miles as well.

Ya im doing the DOHC swap i was juss wonder if like sensors, and ecu, and the other components would be a direct swap, and if not which ones would i need, and what cars i would need to get the parts from

thanks alot for the help

So you direct him to a different forum for a question that can easily be answered here?

Anyways, to the OP: The dual-cam F22B is a direct drop-in swap. It's pretty much the exact same thing as an H23. As long as the swap motor is OBD1, then everything should bolt up and plug in easily. The ECU for your single-cam F22 won't run the new motor very well, so you'll need to swap it out. Use the ECU that comes with the motor, or you can also use one from an H23 if your motor didn't come with one. Like I said, as long as the new motor is OBD1, then everything, including the ECU, should be plug n' play.

Good luck.

I got a Vtech F22 motor in my accord, LX body. just put in a chipped ECU in my car since Vtech wasn"t popping and now it pops but I want to rewire the Vtech since it was piggy backed into the stock ECU how can I make the Vtech pop faster?

well honda's dont have vtech. they have vtec. and last i knew it didnt "pop". what do you mean vtec is piggy backed to the stock ecu? are you saying that you have a piggy back (ie vafc or safc)? you are not going to be able to make the "vtech pop faster" with a piggy back style computer...unless its hondata. you could get a vtec controller, but in my opinion they are useless. your vtec is set at a point that is optimum for the engine. and btw i thought that the doch f22b's were non vtec. or are you talking about the f22b1 sohc ex vtec motor?

What do you mean by "chipped ECU"? If it's one of those cheapo 'Mugen' or 'Spoon' chips you see on eBay, then it's garbage...
