i've doon swaps bf but they were only for d seris.
i want to know what i would need if i do a h2b swap
and what would be a better swap if my budget is 6000
evolution kit 1200
h22 long block 1200
tranny b seris 400 or more

Doing an h2b will need the following::

H-series motor, of your choice. (longblock, $1000 or so)
B-series tranny. ($400-1000)
B-series starter. (might come with tranny, if not, about $50-100?)
B-series axles. ($100-200)
B-series mount for tranny and passengers side. ($20-50)
QSD h2b kit. Or one of your liking. QSD H2B($1100)
Slim down the block on the back in order for the axles and axle mount to work. (free)
Cut a hole, or cut the supports off the bottom of your hood. (free)

I think I'm forgetting something.. but I got most of the parts. TOTAL:: maybe 3500-5000. Depending on where you get your stuff. And I know my math is not correct to my rough estimated prices.. but you will need other random parts as well...

H2b <3 .lol

well first we need to know what it is going into. i was told you don't have to cut ne thing on the eg or del sol. just beat some dents into the floor pan so the shift linkage would fit.

You have to cut the hole larger so the shifter assembly will fit.. and you also have to cut a hole for the shifter cables to run through the floor. BUT, going h2b .. don't cut anything yet.

well with that budget scratch the k series off the list

it's going in to a hatch 92 dx
running p28 right now cant i run that with the h2b
more info plzzz

o yea i dont want turbo yet not untill next summer this summer i just want the swap. how about teh engine harness wat kind do i need

well if u eventually want to turbo it then you could get away with an H22 or a B18c1. stock the h22 is more powerful but there is so many aftermarket parts out there for the b series. its all up to you. and u can easily do either swap with your 6000 budget...h22 is cheaper tho.

not 100% sure but i think u can use ur stock harness. just run a few wires and vtec if u didn't have it originally

Use your stock d15/6 harness and lengthen the wires to fit. You will need to lengthen your alt, starter, iacv, and injectors. With the injectors, you will need to change the plugs to the h22s plugs. I believe those are the only ones needed to lengthen.. I made a complete custom harness, so I forget.

p28 will work fine.. as long as you get it chipped. About $100-150 or so. And with the p28, you won't need to add the egr plugs, or the knock sensor since the p28 wont even look for those things. Saves you about 6-8 wires needed to add in. And remember to wire up vtec. Its only three wires. Two go to the ecu, and the pressure ground can go to your t-stat ground.

Best of luck.

why such a weird swap??? why not just H22 or just B18?

Never heard of an H2B before? If you install an H22 into a Civic, you have to use aftermarket mounts and cut a hole into the floor for the shifter to come through. With an H2B adapter, you can mate an H22 to a B-series tranny, which allows you to use stock mounts and avoid cutting the floor up.

Also, some people prefer the feel and the gear ratios of the B-series transmissions, but want the displacement and power of the H22. The H2B allows for both.

i think i change my mind i want a b18c5 bc h2b you have to sacrifice alot of things
like rasing your hood 1.5 inches
axles break alot
extending wires and shit
