Last night after work I went to visit my buddy who just had a new baby girl (2.13.08 @ 5:46 am, 6 pounds 9 ounces) :)

Anyway, he had to run some errands for his wife and since I was parked behind him I offered to drive (since I barely drive my car anymore).

On the way home I get off the highway and tag the gas, hit vtec, then ... from the sounds of my exhaust... hit vtec again?!?

Fucking pipe broke off at the hangar point just infront of the muffler, only I didn't know it at the time and thought maybe I blew a gasket.

I was going to hopefully wait until april/may to put it on so it'll be warmer out, but I'll have my A'pexi on sooner than that I guess.

I feel like I'm driving my Geo again with no muffler. Loud. Annoying.
 
mine broke right there too... right after the bend on the over-axel piece. i think that was on the del sol? i don't remember
 
my muffler fell off my 240 and went bouncing down the road. i dont even know how.
 
Rust for the win. I guess it was about time. original exhaust for 8 years in Indiana snow slush and salty roads.

Weird. I'm actually further north than you (metro Detroit) and the stock exhaust on my 97 Teggy was still going strong when I bought it...
 
I've been up in Detroit over the winter, they didn't seem to put as much salt on the roads as ft wayne does.

It sorta happened on my old Geo that I mentioned previously. Except the pipe directly after the muffler fell off, which somehow collapsed all the stuff inside the muffler. It was just one big ass open tube...

Everyday I'd leave for school, me starting my car would be Marks' (my friend who lived next door) queue to get up.

I ended up buying a denso 4 wire O2 from rywire last night. Now I don't have to fuck with the POS spliced one I got at autozone anymore.
