what motor is better for boost?

hey everyone i have been doing alot of reasearch on which motor swap i want to go with. i will be boosting this swap in the near future. the two motors i have yet to decide from are the B18c1 (gsr) or the Ls swap. i know the two motors have quite a big price difference but besides that which do you people think would be the better motor to go with... my hp goals are 250-300whp. thanks everyone

you want low compression with boost, and the b18b has less than the b18c, 250whp will be easy to get with a ls

well really it wont matter with a good tune,the gsr has more stock hp, but save your money and juts get the ls,because its just as easy to get there with a b18b

the ls loves boost..and there are plenty of them around-meaning waaaay cheaper..and your goals are easy as hell to reach

meh...it all depends on the budget...ive seen some quick LSes...and some REALLY quick LS/VTECs

im gowing ls/vtec.its become one of those you cant go cheap. its just one of those things like anything... do you want to swap all internals? i dunno i went from 91 lude si b20(loved that engine)to srx si(hated the power loss)now im gowing my own way with a 91dx ls/vtec swap... its really on you man no one can say this that the other. its really about what you want.in any direction you are in the right engine type.go b or save big and try k.single heads just dont seem to make as much power.(if im wrong and sound like a newb just iggy me laffin)

Meet in the middle and go LS/VTEC.

You can't go wrong with that route.

no matter what you pick, get a good tune and it will do fine, but all im saying is why waste the money if you can get your goals done with a cheap ls
