i was wondering what would be the best engine swap to get for the max 3200? i have a 94 civic ex.

get a b16 w/ gsr tranny (or itr w/ lsd) then look at upgrades i/h/e and maybe then consider saving for building it up a little. hell even msd better plugs

if its a daily driver i say get b18b w/ GSR tranny.. should leave you with a nice little chunk of change left too..

Why does nobody mention the H22 anymore? I would think you could do that swap for under 3200.
it can run pretty expensive after all is said and done. plus it's a little more complex swap. you will also run into smog issues with it.

well, if they're asking whats the best engine.. they probably dont know too much about swaps.. a b18b swap would be more straight forward than an h22 swap for a beginner .. a lot cheaper too.. basically, get the mounts, linkage and axles and it'll bolt right in

i dont kno much bout swaps. but i kno about the motors. and when i say best engine im just meaning the most powerful one i can get for under 3200. that isn't gonna cause me any probs. but i plan on getting the b18c(gsr) complete swap off of hmotorsonline.com. comes with everything. comes with the gsr tranny and all that stuff.

alot of ppl i've saw talkin bout h22 swaps into civics like mine, have said they had to cut some of the engine bay for the h22 to fit. i'd love to have that engine though. has 200hp and 160tq. thats some power.

cause h22 is heavy than b series. also easy to blow it out. cause one of ma friend had a h22a engine swap into a 1992 civic ex 5 speed tranny some how he went up to 8 redline rpm and the h22a cant handle with redline mostly of time :fuckyou: lol

go for b18c1 (gsr) is the best one cause i had one 01 gsr engine swap into a 95 honda civic and i was rev alll way to 9 redline rpm to change the gear and there nothing happen with the motor.

If $3200 is the limit of your budget, you can't afford to drop a GSR into your car. You can afford to buy it and look at it until you get the money to swap it in, though.

There's nothing wrong in buying the engine and having the patience to put it in later on. In my opinion, patience pays off and is a virtue that should be followed unless you want to rush into something you either can't finish or end up screwing up. While it's sitting there looking pretty you can also buy more parts for it and end up with one hell of a beast. haha What engine do you have now? If it's a Z6 or Y8 you could have just a little bit of fun with it while piecing together your new build. Just my two cents. Good luck with your decision either way. :D
