got a 95 LS it has 130,xxx miles on it and its a auto. i want to make more power and make it a 5 speed and put on a turbo . im debating this

1) b18c1 complete swap - about 3g's
2) keep the motor i got the b18b build the internal and just buy a turbo and 5 speed swap
3)do the ls-vtec with 5 speed swap and turbo.

which approch would you guys go with? any suggestion wll help thanks in advace

Auto to manual and a LS-Turbo.

I would suggest a rebuild though, and might as well upgrade the internals while you're in there.

I made 253hp with my LST and was very satisfied

yea i was kidda leaning towards that but i wanted people's input before i did anything

what's a good tranny to go with? and for internal?

A good tranny to go with is the GSR.

You might wanna consider aftermarket or oem LSD if you're going turbo.

BTW the LS is a great platform for forced induction.

GSR is the best trans to go with.

A lot of people despise the LS because of it's lack of Vtec, people seem to insist variable valve timing is necessary in every 4 cyl. application.

I couldn't suggest internals unless you suggested a power goal and what you'd like to do with it.... ie: NA or FI

im thinking of goin ls-t, i want to push at least 230 or some nothing crazy but something to show people up in. wouldnt the LS tranny be better for turbo?

No, I used it but I wouldn't recommend it. Shorter is always better unless you're looking for top speed.

230 hp is extremely easy tp obtain, even on a stock motor.

Leave the internals stock, theres no reason to mess with em for that power goal.

Get a properly sized turbo for your goal, and build it right the first time with quality parts. Piece together your own kit, its alot easier to do it right. Pre made kits are not tailored to your specific application.

the reason i say that is b/c of the high mileage i dont want to leave it as it currently is and have it blow on me later
