Everyone trying to build LSVtecs or B20Vtecs lately. Every other thread is about building one of these things and they're all newbies.

Yeah really, I noticed that too. I think it might have to do with the rising cost of 'common' motors.

As you can tell, noobs still flock to ebay and whatever parts cheapest. (..XS turbo B20...wonder how long that's gonna last...)

"I want to make an LS/VTACK and I want to know what all are the parts I need and how much it's going to cost and can you give me directions on how to do it step by step. You know what, can you just come build it for me?"

yea there are alot of those builds going and yes they probably are all just kids that wanna make a fast car so they can beat that one kid at school that thnks he has the fastest car..they rlly dont know what they are getting into,they have no clue wtf theyre doing and they are wasting a perfect motor

Yeah, I notice the trend as well. I think since the price of the conversion kits has come down, it's become more prevalent. What a lot of these newbs fails to understand is that the bottom end needs work as well. You just can't slap on a GSR head, and go rip mad VTEC.

I remember when there were NO LS/VTEC kits around, and when you actually had to machine the block. My biggest pet peave is the people who think its a great idea to boost H22's. Lolz.

I've actually minimized the tech forums all together. Throwing in useful advice to a sea full of noobs seems a bit pointless. I'll answer 5 stupid questions, and the next day, there will be 10 more.
