Decided to take some pics of the bike finally, partly because I promised them to Cel, the other part because I didn't have any of them on my computer...

It's a clean little bike...only thing it needs is front fork seals...

And for shits and giggles, one of a CB900 SuperSport...The pic isn't my bike, but it's a spittin' image of it--Colors and all...

Weathers getting nicer, so I think I will get em road ready and take em out in the next week or two...

Some of the other pics I took were better, but they were sized wrong, and after taking different ones, they didn't show the same quality...

If you want different ones of anything in particular let me know...I do believe I put a pic of the front fork seals, just so you could see them...Other than those, I have not run across anything else that is in need of attention...

Oh, except the horn...it doesn't work. It could be a simple wiring problem, or it could be a bad horn...Don't know, don't really care...the thing sounds like a Harley with the Stinger pipes on there...If you can't hear it coming, you shouldn't be driving...Welcome to reality though, where Asshats rule...

Yeah, everything about this bike looks right for me. Are you planning on trailering all these things back here with you ?

I will probably sell the Super Sport... But I plan on trailering the Yamaha...Probably get a flatbed to haul behind the truck so I can put the bike and the Civic on it...Otherwise, I will need another driver for either the bike or the civic...

Lemme know ! I may be able to get out there to ride her back.

And that CB - Tell me what you get for it before you DO sell it. Because I know that bike markets are totally different, but it may fetch enough out here to more than make up for the transport.

i think the virago is the bigger cousin to my seca.

Super sport is nice. What year is it and how many miles on it?

It's a 1982 Honda CB900F Super Sport... It's got just under 29k miles... Runs pretty good. Only problem is I can't find the title for it...

I would just file for a new title, but I never registered it, and the previous owner is nowhere to be found. So I have a few options...I can either try to file for a lost title and see if DMV can get contact the previous registered owner, or I can bring it to a towing yard and have them do a storage lien on it. Or find a shop that will do a mechanics lien on it, and get a title that way. Or I could just sell it as it is and take a loss on it. There are lots of frames that motor will fit on, so someone might jump on it.

The bike all together is in pretty good shape. It's not as clean as the Virago, but it isn't trashed. Even with my fat ass on that bike, cracking it at 6k rpms will make the front end come up. Not bad for early 80's engineering. I just wish I would have known more about the CBX's when I was looking. The same guy I bought this bike from had a CBX that he was selling for the same price...

I don't know if the CBX was in as good condition as the 900...Mechanically, that is. He was waiting on tires for it and was doing a new exhaust when I got there to look at the 900...I guess I just assumed that since he was working on it that it wasn't going to be ready anytime soon or that there was more wrong with it...Either way, I am happy with the 900...it rides good and it's enough power to have fun with...

Work on it = ask around and do some effort on selling it. Lots of people think of it as "old bike". You'll have to find someone that knows what it is.

yes i do. i jsut don't know how to post them online. duh! i've managed a few times. theres a pic with me on meetup.com on the bike groups in florida. i managed that one. but then i try again and forget how i did it.....
i don't have anything fancy. or expensive. i've taken old bikes that people have not wanted, rebuilt them and/or chopped them. make my own parts- like side covers or footpegs or dummy light gauges...... lighten them- they go faster, and lower some- they may handle better cuz of lower center of gravity. like my GS.
i live down a long assed dirt road and my favorite bike now is my klr250. my honda hawk gt is my favorite road bike. light and fun. i'm short and light so all these little bikes work great for me. my GS is a fun bike too. thats the one pictured in meetup.com. i chopped that quite a bit and polished the calipers, forks and wheels. nothing stock is left on it. well except the engine and stage 1 carbs. i couldn't get 800. for it (cuz of its age and chopped) but it runs like a champ and makes a good trip bike. i found it junked in a garage missing most of its parts...... all the bikes i've rebuilt i've learned alot from. reading and researching. probably like the civic which is kicking my butt!
