i'm trading my 1990 civic si hatch for a 91 lx accord 2 door 5 spd....i'm wondering what are some good (fairly cheap) mods to do to an accord besides intake/exhaust

it's a commuter car. leave it stock and save your money. no reason to modify it. you might gain 10 hp for an investment of $1500. not worth it imho.

well through my research this car has more stock hp than my current car so i figured it may be a good investment

modifying cars is never a good investment. it will also be harder to resell an accord than a civic hatchback. i personally wouldn't do the trade. i would keep the hatch and drop in a b16 or b18a. you aren't going to be happy if you do this trade. the only reason i would trade for an accord is if i needed a 4 door.

well i went and talked to the guy and he was a total douchebag he wanted like $1000 plus my hatch so i told him tha he could go to hell....he also said the accord was bored for a 2.3 to a 3.1 one (i laughed at him)...but after that i wet a guy who wanted my car plus $500 for his lx hatch with a turbo b18 so i might just do that

do you really like owning old cars? you could get something a lot newer and faster if you wanted to.

well i'm kinda on a pretty tight budget so i cant really afford a new car and i like ef's and my bad i meant dx just got a little ahead of myself.....but if i had 5-6k to spend on a car it would def be for a newer si hatch

whats wrong with old cars? ive got a 1983 wagon, 1990 4dr accord, and a 94 accord. none of which are new by anymeans.

The problem with old econoboxes are just that....they're old econoboxes.

I have been kinda stuck in the "past" when it comes to Hondas. Not a fan of anything pre-92 though. I was thinking of getting something newer, like 02-05 ep3. K20a(R) swap with 6speed, supercharged.... Just a thought...

i have a few new cars i love them but i love my old cars also. and here in about a hour im buying a 81 civic, llol..

Nothing wrong with old cars, I love old cars also, but a stock old econobox like an EF hatch for instance is just an EF hatch. Nothing special about it if it's stock.

older cars kick ass. less things to work on and easier to work on. my 91 accord has 370003 miles and its runnin amazing on original motor...wen i get my cam ill post pics after i do my H22A swap in bout 2 weeks after i send in for my custom engine wiring harness so i dont have to splice, but the accord is fast, stronger then the older civic. the older civic in that year has what??? 98 hp or sumthin around that. My f22a1 is pushing stock 120 hp. and i mean hell i beat a 93 hatch, (dont get me wrong i would love to have another hatch(i used to have a cx, and i miss it)) but if you do the bolt ons, your still good to go... header, catback, intake, h22 throttle body, (if you wanna go far enough into it) skunk 2 intake manifold, racing ignition coil, good plugs(i did feel a different with denso iridium plugs and an accel igintion coil), and all that good stuff
