i did a jdm b16a swap to my 95 eg i have change the ignition moduel since i got it check and it was no good also changed the coil and still have no spark. i checked if gas goes through and it does. changed the computer from the p28 to the p30 and still wont start could it be the timeing. the check engine light flickers and it won't start. any info would help

they should be i'll doulble check. the battery is new. someone was telling me about a box thats under the steering wheel that if you disconect car won't start and it will be like there is no spark is this true. not talking about the fuses.

does your car even turn or cranks?? or does it just click??? it could be you started wire that connects into the ground.......

i don' remember connecting a ground from the starter. would the check engine light turn on for this.

Make sure the battery terminals are connected properly and the engine harness is plugged up correctly as well. If you turn the ignition key to the starting position and you hear no cranking of the engine, but a "clicking" sound, than the starter is working. It may not be getting enough voltage from the battery to turn the engine over. Try getting someone with jumper cables to charge your battery up for you for a few minutes than try starting it again. If that does not work I suggest you have the starting/charging system tested with a VAT40 machine or better.

first if your check engine light is on, get a scanner and find out what it is???? if you not gettin no sparks at all like you said its for sure the starter thats not working.....make sure the starter is not loose or any wires are loose......check to see if your headlight will turn on too cuz if it turns on then it's not your battery........also try to push start it.........then tell me how that goes......

Once again, we will need to know if it is not starting or not cranking. The diag approach for the two will be totally different. Also, there is no ground from the starter. It grounds to the bellhousing. The only reason a starter would ever have a ground is if the bell housing was plastic, which is unlikely. More over, a check engine light will rarely be the source of a complete no start condition. 95% of the time it is emissions related, and petty crap at that...

check to see if your headlight will turn on too cuz if it turns on then it's not your battery..

No. It takes very little voltage to run headlights. A battery may be mostly dead and the headlights will still come on. If the battery was so dead that the headlights wouldn't come on then he would be asking a much different question or would have replaced the battery himself. Let's give him a little credit.

checked the connections and everything is wired correctly. Everything is moving when i turn the key to start you hear a noise where everything is spinning but no spark. could it be that it is out of timing. would this cause no spark. you can here and see everything moving(belts moving, gas is flowing, new battery) all lights go on. i did see a spark come out from a plug by the tranny. when i messed with that connection the check engine light turned off but it moved and went back on what plug would this be.

If the battery has a state of charge of 12.4 volts with the vehicle not running it will not start. Turning the lights on mean completely squat. Push starting works when the starter is not functioning properly, not the battery. Rolling a car that has a discharged/discharging battery will not make it start.

Make sure your plug wires are in the correct firing order.

 That's only .2 volts below what a normal 12 volt battery is rated (6 cells x 2.1 volts per cell). I've seen many vehicles start on much less than 12.4 volts. Although, they were slow arduous starts but starts nonetheless.

The starter motor needs a certain amount of current from the battery for operation. Usually this is indicated on the starter motor itself, including its voltage and amperage ratings when cranking. No car will start with 12.4 volts, its simply just not enough to turn the starter motor. Amperes play a large role here. More voltage, less amperes. Less voltage, more amperes. Your battery can read 12.4 volts when not running. If there is not enough amperes to carry that load for the starter it WILL not start.

the wires are in this order
1 3

2 4

but dont get how this would affect spark if i am not getting any spark and tried with all the wires. could it be the timing

if your standing on the pass side of the car looking at the dis it should look like
3 4 not 1 3
1 2 2 4

first of all then.turn your key to the "on" pos andlisten for the fuel pump to prime and the main relay to click.(it takes about 5 sec.)your check engine light should be on durring this time then it should turn off at the same time your pump does.if that is in working order pull off your dis cap and get a dvom (digatal voltage and ohm meter) and put it on ohms test the coil across the pos and neg termanals it should have less then 100 ohms restance next check between the pos and the secondary(where your cap slides on to the thing with the spring)you should have around 16k ohms nex repeat the steps with the neg side of the coil.if that dont work... check to see if you have conutiy between

if thats good make sure you have a constant 12 volts to the blk/yel wire on the dis plug.and if u do thats good :)....next look at

good luck let me know what happens please
