So I'm getting ready to have the nissan painted and marsha has her new G37 and i need some detailing products. Soaps, washers, and waxes. what are some good retail places to go? i don't really shop online much for this kind of stuff. i like reading bottles and feeling textures of the gloves and towels.

Just use meguiars gold class products and you can find it at many stores maybe even walmart and fred meyers. Get an absorber cloth for drying down the vehicle.

well, i have an absorber cloth. just looking for a good place to get some detailing stuff. i guess i'll just have to try the usual places and maybe an autozone and shucks.

any auto parts store should have detailing products.. you'll probably pay more than you'd pay online.. Meguiars is always good stuff

This site's pretty good; We Are Car Care -- Car Wax, Car Polish, Auto Detailing Supplies, Car Buffers & Car Accessories Store

That's what a lot of the guys over at BimmerForums.com use for their cars.

I use Meguire's NXT car wash, Turtle Wax F21 wheel cleaner, and Turtle Wax Ice along with a microfiber mitt for the body of the car and a smaller one for the wheels. I use microfiber drying towels along with a 12" Water Blade for the body and cloth diapers to dry the rims and door jambs.
blanco the overachiever.

thanks man

I detailed for several years, do you want basic stuff (washing and waxing) or serious detailing products (high speed buffer, buffing pads/compounds, interior cleaning chemicals)?

basic stuff. i have to do my car and my gf's g37. i'm not looking to start a part time job or anything, just cleaning cars every 2 or 3 weeks in the summer. i only want to take 60-90 minutes per car inside and out.

wash,
wax,
soap cloth,
wax rags,
leather/dash product.

Then like said autozone or any other automotive store would have those products. Fred Meyers, Target and Walmart should have those items also. I would suggest the Meguiars Gold Class line of soap and wax. Just dont use armor all.

will it say "microfiber" on it? i don't really know what it looks like. i always just got one of those glove thingys for $10.

yes.. it should say Microfiber wash mitt.. you're as bad as one of these damn noobs asking about ls/vtecs .. if its too hard for you ask the counter guy where the microfiber mitt is at
