B16a Water Pump Block Damage

Im Building A B16a From A Bare Block For My 90 Dx Hatch. When I Removed The Water Pump I Noticed Where It Seems The Impellers From The Pump Have Scored The Housing On The Inside Of The Block. Metal Shavings Everywhere. Anyone Think This Block Is Still Good? Im Worried That Cause Of The Scoring That Coolant Wont Flow As Well Now And It Will Overheat Once Its Finished.

I would take the bare block to a machine shop and have them machine it and hot tank it. It should be okaye, just buy a new water pump.

so you think coolant will still circulate properly? i sure hope so... the block is stripped bare.. all but the main caps. pistons should arrive fri then off to the machine shop sat to be honed and such. yea i bought a timing kit that came with new seals , water pump, timing belt and tensioner.
