Up for grabs is a B18C1 block with a jdm b16a head and a gsr tranny. I was planning on putting it in my delsol but have decided to sell it to get some money. It has a brand new, all OEM Honda parts, water pump, oil pump, timing belt, teinsioner, Head Gasket, and ARP head studs. I am asking 2900 for it including the gsr tranny.

It has gsr pistons adn b16 cams. I also i have a skunk2 intake manifold i can put on if you want. these pics are before i installed all the new stuff. i will get some of them installed. i am also willing to trade for some things i am looking fora traction bar for a EF. I live in maryland, pickup is prefered.

Bump for a quality build. Little pricey for an oem build though but good luck anyway

thanks man... give some offers...Try to find a gsr motor at a import dealer for under 3000. if you do i bet it doesnt have brand new parts.

im not flaming ur post but 2900 i very pricey for a stock build. i had a built ls bottom-end stock head and gsr tranny swap for 1800. just telling u not trying to talk ur post down

That's a steal, If I had 2900 bucks, I would buy it now, even though I have nothing to put it in.

i think that 2900 is a real good price for this thing... its my friends and he put it on my account.. ive seen this thing in person and was soo close to buyin it... but i couldnt get the money in time and now he needs to get it out of his shed... but.. he will take 2500 picked up for it... thats a freakin steal!

dude, thats an LS block, not a GSR block
.. GSR swaps go for $3k+ .. IMO.. this is better than a GSR swap

exactly... 2900 was a good price.. but 2500 is an amazing price.. im suprised he is goin this low.. but he told me to drop it down to this so... i did... his lose is your gain...

ok dude look this is no poor mans type r cause it doesnt have itr or ctr pistons ok. so its just a gsr with a b16 head no gsr cams no itr cams. so whats the point it looses compression now its at like 9:8 instead of it being a real poormans type r having a 10:8-11+ compression. so its worth less then a gsr swap.

this is a poor mans type r... get some facts straight before you come in here flaming on a legit thread... bump this thing up... time to get rid of it

so explain a poormans type r then
you sir are correct. a poor mans type r consist of: b18c (gsr) block, itr or ctr pistons, b16 head, gsr itr or ctr cams, itr intake mani and throttle body. however your compression ratio that you gave was inaccurate, i know this because mine is currently at 12.3:1

Hmmm... I didn't know a poor man's type-r had pistons. Kinda defeats the purpose of "poor man". Gsr block with ctr pistons and itr cams will make more power than a stock itr. From my understanding, it was a b18c1 block with a b16 head, stock gsr pistons and stock b16 cams. But I guess it could vary from person to person. ;]

then that would defeat the purpose cause u loose compression points adding the b16 head and keeping the gsr pistons

My compression with a b16a head (un-milled) will be 12.4:1. With a gsr head (un-milled) would be 12.6:1. As long as the block was never decked those are the numbers -- for MY engine with ctr pistons on stock rods.

stock p75 pistons and b16 head with b16 cams would actually lower your compression and take away hp, pushing it further away from a type r.
