Ok so every time I drove my civic there was a cel on after 2 min of running car runs fine vtec engages its all great now i let it sit for 3 days not starting it i let it warm up take it for a drive and no cel the car was running for at least 30 min no cel what would cause it not to come on
 
next time it comes on, pull the code. we can't tell you what it is without the code.
 
hmm... that used to happen to me when my knock sensor wasnt wired.. but i'm sure the b20 block doesnt have a knock.. could though
 
would the knock sensor cause it to have shitty gas mileage and yes i mean shittier then a b20 built vtec
 
well the thing is i tried running it more and its not coming back on maybe its off for good doubt it
 
hmm.. you might wanna check that no wires are loose on any sensors.. that means checking them all..

It is great info, and it's available right here on HondaSwap, which makes it even better. I'd be willing to say that at least 75% of all noob questions could be answered by doing some reading in the reference section.

Just throwing that out there for anyone who stumbles upon this thread...

I couldn't agree with you more on this. I researched (and am STILL researching) my build, what I want/need...etc., for about six months on here before I posted my own thread. Granted there is still a LOT I have to learn. Amen for taking the time to read and find out what you need on your own. :D
